This place is bustling and the food is above average. So, however, are the prices! A word we got from a regular at a nearby table -- the portions are gi-normous and often sufficient for two. I ordered a half-portion of pasta and could barely finish that. However, they did charge slightly more than half-price for it. Desserts and salads also on the expensive side ($12 each), although good and also large enough to share!
Fabulous food, generous portions. Noise level is off the charts, and tables are very tightly squeezed into e space, but all in all, a great dining experience. The antipasto bar is loaded with delicious fresh preparations. Our group enjoyed our dinner tremendously.
The antipasto, though still fun, has decreased both in variety and flavor. In general, the food has become simultaneously salty and bland
This restaurant, right across the street from Carnegie Hall, is a long-time favorite of mine. Although there is an extensive menu, I am partial to the incomparable antipasto bar, which features a variety of vegetable and seafood antipasti. Delicious italian, great open atmosphere, service is great. Wait can be annoying even if you have a reservation. Will definitely go back!

A tiny salad before dinner should have cost half of what was charged, $12, the price of a nice large Caesar and not a small plate of arugala. The pasta dishes were wonderful, but also more expensive than you'd expect for such moderate sized portions. Truthfully, I liked the smaller portions, but I would appreciate a commensurately smaller pric... read more
Everything we ate was delicious! Comfortable, relaxing, great decor, the staff was great and our waiter, Joe from Brooklyn, was a gem! He really added to the whole experience. Were there with friends from out of town on recommendation from a regular, everyone very pleased. Would definitely go back. Only negative comment, thought the wine list a tad pricey.
The food here is insanely good. The staff is amazing and the dining room is beautiful. I absolutely love this place. They also come around with cookies and goodies throughout the night and really make you feel at home.
