My guest and I arrived about 20 min late and the restauant was VERY busy. The maitre'd was gracious, took our names, and asked us to wait a few feet away. We were fully prepared to be turned away or to wsit forever. We were seated shortly. Our drinks arrived promtly with some great bread. Our dinner order was placed soon after. Unfortunately, after that, things slowed down. Appetizers were wonderful. A good place to eat before going to Carnegie Hall as it's right across the street. It's large enough to accompany a lot of people so can be easier to get reservations than smaller places. Although not for foodies it is a fun, busy place with good, basic fair.
This is one of our favorite spots for before or after the concerts at Carnegie Hall. It is a bit pricey and I wish they would have a mini prix fix Pre or Post theatre menu. Otherwise, everthing is first class. We especially like the two maitre d's.The antipasto and fresh fish are exceptional.
Wonderful as always! Waiters are always well trained, smart and on the ball! The garage, however had vanished.
The prawns with couscous is great. The prawns are gigantic! Service is excellent. My waiter was very efficient and I was taken care of very well. Will definitely be back!
Killer pizza is a great appetizer to share--the pssta is amazing!
Took some folks from work out for dinner, the meal was great, the portions were huge. Our waiter was very attentive with a great sense of humor, will definitely stop in again.
Food, as always was very good. I was disappointed in the service. I had visitors from overseas here and really did not get the level of service I had expected. Another group close to our table, was lavished with attention, while we were neglected!
Great food and service. However, has wood floors and is very noisy. In addition, the wine list is overpriced with the cheapest decent red wine - Hahn Merlot, quite good actually - at $47 per bottle.
