Good food, fabulous deserts. downstairs is noisy, upstairs is much more quiet. Michael, our waiter was the best ever! Very friendly staff.
My wife and I class Trattoria Dell'Arte as one of our favorite Italian restaurants in New York and always eat there when we visit from the UK. The food is always very good and is one of the restaurants that understands how to cook tuna rare! My only negative comment is that as this was the first time there was just two of us the and table we were given was so close to other tables for two it was impossible to hold a private conversation.This would not stop us going.
Food tasty, didn't have all the wines on their half bottle list, but graciously made substitutions
Excellent service - great before a show at City Center or Carnegie Hall. Expensive.
We loved it! Wonderful room, service, and the food was excellent. We went for a special occasion, and it felt like one while we were there. We kept saying that we have to come back often and make it our regular place.

Great service - must have the veal parmigiana (plenty for 2). Antipastos are superb
very expensive but it's all location,location,location.
I have come to Trattoria del Arte for years and feel it has gone downhill. Food was acceptable but uninteresting. We arrived with our middle-school aged children before a Carnegie Hall performance, and were promptly whisked away from the main dining room to an upstairs mezzanine where my head nearly brushed the ceiling and made us feel like giants in a funhouse.
