We truly enjoyed the excellent service and very good food. It's so nice to have a consistent, go-to place in the area...close to theaters, Lincoln Center and of course, Carnegie Hall. Love it and will return again and again.
We were seated promptly and served without being rushed, and I had advised the waiter that we had theatre tickets. Service was good without being pushy and we did not need to ask for refills of our water glasses. I was pleasantly surprised, having expected a more "touristy" type of place, in view of its proximity to Carnegie Hall.

Always reliable Tuscan-influenced Italian food in an aggressively hip spot across from Carnegie Hall. Consistant quality in food and menu selections are coupled with a staff who seems to enjoy working there (and who you may find happily humming as they place your food in front of you.)
We went before a performance at Carnegie Hall. It is directly accross the street from the venue, The food is always consistant. Our waiter, Joseph, was outstanding.

The food was very good although I thought over-priced, even for New York City. We enjoyed calamari, shrimp and eggplant capanato from the appetizer bar and all were delicious. The service was less than stellar. We ordered a bottle of wine and the waiter forgot to pour it for us. In fact, as it was sitting in the cooler, he asked us if we wanted a glass and what kind!
