Outstanding service - fabulous food.
Great thin crust pizza; Love the pounded veal chop parmigiana; Good antipasto bar selections. Been here many time and always look forward to going back.
It was a typical pre-theatre Saturday night with the added challenges of dealing with Marathon eve crowd; so the restaurant had over 750 people being served and still, the food, service, professionalism were impeccable. Quite remarkable.
We had two birthdays to celebrate and the management was kind enough to allow us to bring two custom-made cakes from the great Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken. The staff stored the cakes, cut them and served everyone a slice of each after dinner. Made for a memorable night. ... Great lamb shank!
It's the place to go if you're catching a concert a Carnegie Hall. They know how to get you in and out for a curtain. The service is very old New York -- nothing fancy or pretentious, but attentive, funny, accented and very good. We enjoyed our veal and artichokes and came back for dessert after the concert. They brought us champagne on the house right before the check. It's a classic.
My wife and I visited on a long weekend stay. It was our first night so we were tired and jet lagged and just needed a meal without any problems. I had already made a reservation, we were greeted and shown to our table immediately. The staff are absolutely suberb helping with the extensive menu and suggesting accompanying wines.
