Unprofessional from start to "no thanks." Definitely fly by night.I should not have used the Credit Karma recommendation to apply for refinancing
Junk Make promises they don’t plan on keeping
Tresl through CreditKarma offered 5.04 interest rate. When I applied I was given a rate of 22.99% and the length of loan extended by 2 years for a “savings” of $110.00 a month. My current rate through a CU is 7.95% with 50 months left. Tresl is a joke of a company with total bait and switch tactics. Don’t try and do a refinance with them as you will end up with a hard inquiry and much worse rate. I partially blame CreditKarma for even having a horrible company like this represented on their app/site.

I would give this company less than one star if I could. The refinance process was extremely slow and dragged on far longer than it should have. While I do want to give credit to Ava, she was great and kept me informed throughout overall and was great. I am very unhappy with the experience. I would not recommend this company for refinancing.
Was offered one deal, then after a hard inquiry on my credit (which they said wouldn’t happen) I was presented with a different, horrendous offer. Very deceptive company, in my opinion.
Inquired about a quote... wasn't interested to I ignored 10 days of texts and calls. Only to be texted that "a hard credit check was pulled, I'd hate to see that go to waste" I did not authorize a hard inquiry nor did I show interest after receiving a disapproval email the DAY AFTER inquiring. Only for them to start contacting me that I'm approved & hard credit check was done.. Im keeping my current payment and getting out of this in 2.5 yrs instead.
IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS Intuit Credit Karma member Predatory and dishonest experience. Promises low rates on pre-approval only to hard pull your credit a few times and decline your loan application right away. Feels like a scam to get personal information.
I submitted my information with the understanding it was a "pre-approval" with a soft hit that would not affect my credit score. Upon approval, I asked if there were any fees involved other than the standard interest rate and was told - and I quote - "Of course, they are a for profit business, they are not a charity organization". I'm 60 years old and have owned a business for 20 years so I did not need the condescending remark from Mike Phillips about how businesses work.
