Get directionsOverall our experience was good. The only negatives we right at the end (which caused a good bit of stress). Because the lender wasn't from our neighborhood and didn't understand our market they requested a last second review which almost made us miss our signing. It was a stressful 12 hours. They did get it all done on time, but that seemed unecessary. My realtor did complain that she had to reach out for everything and felt things could have been communicated a little faster, but overall it was a simple process.
My credit score is over 800, but the refinance amount was approximately $130,000 so I guess it was too low for them to bother with as no one ever called back as was promised. The President of Triumph Bank, sent email via Zillow and my review of their service. I called the number on the email and LM. He called back and said he was sorry that it slipped through the cracks and would have the originator supervisor Aaron Sledd. Recently closed a loan with Triumph. Overall, the process was pretty straightforward. If you're looking for a "streamlined" mortgage process, this wasn't any different from working with a big bank.I do have two recommendations/complaints though:1. My main 2 issues with Triumph was the constant need for more documents and the fact that they estimated my cash settlement incorrectly and it was 15% higher than I thought it would be. $5,000 extra cash out of my pocket the day before closing on the house....not acceptable. I received an apology but no effort towards discount or anything considered.
