I am very disappointed. They sell bad fish! I bought two different kinds that looked better than other pieces. Both stank old and ammonia like on top of it. Absolutely not edible! Wasted $100. Smell it before you buy it.

This place advertises things that they don't have when you go there, frustrating as hell, and the deli people are all as obnoxious as you can find, you can't even look around that store cause its like a frozen igloo in there so you can't get to see other items, prefer to go to the North Babylon Store even though its 1/2 hour drive away
Terrible customer service. They emailed me a $5 coupon and it was not honored at purchase. Front end manager said it was "for a future purchase'. This was not emphasized anywhere on the coupon. It should have been honored at time of purchase. Will not be returning to the Melville store
Been shopping here since the day they opened literally, and can't believe I have to leave a bad review. The thing that "made" Uncle G's so good is they have everything in stock and everything is fresh and tastes good. I even stuck up for them against the union guys busting their chops. Road tripped to this Uncle's G's to try out their self proclaimed new and improved rotisserie chicken. We took it to a park down the street to demolish this bird with my bare hands. I sat there, amidst ample distractions of children playing on the playground and a physical pick up basketball game going on in the back but I needed to lock in. Just so-so. Not the quality or variety you will find in a Long Island deli. I wish this was like what I can find on Long Island, it is not it most every way.
Since when is it an issue on what shopping cart you use. Cashier made a rude remark because we used a bigger short over the small ones. We used the big one because we needed numerous items and figured the small one would not work. After trying to shop and not only can you not only is the flow of the store horrible, amount of staff standing around talking and blocking isles, we gave up and checked out with what we had. I come here primarily for desserts and they are good. I've purchased shrimp twice. The first time I opened bag ( 2 days before sell by date) and the smell almost knocked me out). Thought I would give them another chance. Just purchased shrimp and it smelled bad too. The cashiers are generally nice but the people at the customer service desk are always annoyed you interrupted the conversation they their co worker. I'd rather drive a little farther and go to Stew Leonard's or Whole Foods.
I don't know. I spent $4.99 for semolina twist bread loaf. It was twisted but it was the whitest bread I've ever seen. Last time it was braciole. A piece of beef rolled up. I'm not loving the Uncle G experience so much.
