I really wanted to love Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace in Tinton Falls. The store has potential, and there are some highlights--especially the bakery. The desserts are absolutely delicious--from cannoli to pastries and cakes, everything we've tried has been fresh and full of flavor. Honestly, the bakery is the main reason we still stop in. On time ,friendly. (Delivery of food) driver should have more experience with setting up. I had to help to move it along and it was very stressful. Not good at all. It really stressed me out. Uhhh... (the store) great mozzarella.. nice choice of different items. Clean space. Staff.... Idk .. really no one around on the floor.. ques at customer service.. flat out answer no hello can I help u .. nothing. I go because I can't find an Italian place to my liking up by my son and daughter.
I have been going to uncle Giuseppe's for several years now. Some of the items are fantastic such as their homemade pot pies and the gram and go section. Catered Christmas dinner from them and it was awful. Had to throw out the eggplant Parmesan and most of the other dinners. I complained, but there was never a response.The
i really enjoy shopping in this store! And i love trying their soups, sauces , hot foods etc. , baked goods etc.,This week i tried the Putta Nesca sauce (I usually make it myself with black olives , caper's , garlic ) and made it for the family with pasta. Unfortunately, it had been seasoned with an excessive amount of red pepper! So much that our mouths and lips were burning! You could not taste the flavors of the sauce just the burning , so I'll go back to making it myself - disappointed .
I stopped in to pick up fresh donuts to bring to someone's house. This place had everything but donuts. I asked a bakery employee where the donuts were, and she stared at me like I had two heads. Turns out she had zero command of the English language. Found a bakery manager, who first told me they sold all of the donuts over the weekend, then changed his story and told me it was due to their supplier not bringing the donuts. So which is it? But you have every other bakery item? Why can you make other bakery items, but not... read more

I placed an order on Friday for Sunday for St Joseph pastries and sfigatelli my order was delivered but instead of 6 canola filled pastries I ordered I received custard filled and obviously they had been packed the evening before they were sad looking and the sfigatelli were not crisp as fresh ones would be I contacted the store I give them the one star because the curbside person did acknowledge the mistake and said she would deliver 6 of the correct pastry but she needed the wrong ones back but I wondered what do they do ... read more
