I've been going to Uncle G's since they opened. Catered from them many times, spending over $600.00 each time. The last two times I went to Uncle G's, I ordered sandwiches from the deli. The first time last week I ordered a roast beef and yellow american and asked for the lettuce and tomato on the side. You'd think what I asked for!! Advertised crabcakes $9.99, went on a Thursday around noon about two weeks ago. I normally go to Iavarrone in Wantagh but thought I'd try Uncle G's crabcakes. All out...would be another hour before they were ready. Being in retail for over thirty years I know the importance of keeping advertised products in stock. Now you've lost a customer.

Stay away. The store manager verbally accosted my wife in the store. She is a 67 year old woman who lives with chronic pain. We tried to contact the corporate office about the incident but they were not interested. She shopped there practically every day for years. No more. Something is rotten about that store and its employee.

The store is beautiful and very cheery but today I bought Veal chops they were worst than terrible. Spent about 30.00 for 3 chops--what a waste.
Uncle Giuseppe's is overhyped and too expensive. Their food, for the most part is good, however, like any other business and brand they give you less while charging more. I picked up sandwiches today for my husband and I. We had the cousin Vinny-fried eggplant, prosciutto and fresh mozzarella , and uncle Giuseppe's hero, which had chicken cutlet that was about a quarter of an inch thick at most, fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers. Make sure you check your receipt. Always seems to be a problem in their favor. The ladies at customer service seem to have an attitude.
