The other day I went into the Port Jefferson location specifically for "Linguini with White Clam Sauce". We love it from here and eat all of it, but I couldn't find any in case. This was the second or third time this has happened- I asked the man behind the counter, he said they had none but if I would wait he would make one for me! HECK YEAH! He OFFERED to make a fresh one just for me and 10 minutes of wandering the bakery, I had a hot, fresh tin of the stuff, bursting with little clammies and garlic, for what? $30, 25$,... read more
This review is based on only a couple of visits. I'll provide updates as needed. To date, the store appears very similar to the Smithtown location (which I recently reviewed). As with the Smithtown store, the prepared foods and bakery are very good; and customer service appears to be on top of things. Access to and maneuvering around the parking lot will be more difficult at this location. However, this is more a function of the store's placement in the more congested Melville area, rather than a failing of the store it... read more

A few weeks ago, I posted my one-star review of a Shoprite supermarket in Hauppauge, NY, just 2 miles from this Giuseppe's. As I have discontinued my shopping at that store, I thought it might be constructive to review this Giuseppe's as an alternative. This is a full-service supermarket with a diverse array of both local and international foods. I was particularly impressed with the extensive prepared-foods section; and the large, in-house bakery. From the bakery, the fresh rolls and bagels were exceptional, as were the... read more
I have to complain that this is the second Uncle Giuseppe's I have been in that seems to be spatially challenged. If you shop here, you need to come when its dead and there is no one else inside, or else you will get run into, tailgated, cut in front of, body checked, bumped around. The shopping carts are far too big and take up small aisle space, so if you have to get anything heavy, you need to leave the cart in the diaper aisle or someplace deserted and bring your items to the cart and go back out to the rest of the stor... read more

I came here recently as I was in the area. My goal walking in was to pickup a couple of filet's for dinner. I found them in the vast meat section (their meat selection is insane). When I looked at the price/lb I was a bit taken back. $24.99/lb of filet seemed a bit high. Considering the cuts didn't look all that big, I wasn't sure about it. I'd love to give them another shot and I'm sure I will at some point. This place is huge with practically everything you can think of. Definitely worth checking out!

Small store, but excellent selection of Italian and specialty groceries. Big fan of their homemade vodka sauce with prosciutto, nice selection of homemade pasta, and excellent meat section, ala old school D'allesandro's; stuffed pork and veal, flank steak pinwheels, etc. Also, really impressed with their pizza dough, very fresh and tasty.
