Exceptional, fresh food. The workers care about what they do and are professionals. I highly recommend the prepared dishes.
Growing up in LI, I was thrilled to know I'm still not too far for an Uncle Giuseppe's. Every time I have been to this location I've purchased great fresh vegetables, quality meats and delicious fresh mozzarella, homemade sauce & pasta. If you want quality Italian staples plus you need to grab some standard grocery items, UG's is the best!
Everything here is great. From prepped entrees to all the cakes and pastries. One stop shop! Store is very clean and staff is super friendly and helpful.
Once again uncle Guissippi came through for me with a delivery from John who" was just on my way home anyway " please note that this was around 4:30 pm and the weather was terrible. Thanks again!
I had placed an order yesterday... right as I was going to pick it up I received a call stating that the order was going to be extremely light being that many items weren't available... I was asked if I were willing to come back the following day so that the order could be completed... I agreed... by the time I arrived, they were coming out with my shopping cart, and filled my car with my groceries... Here we go; I always loved this supermarket. I was introduced to this store by my BFF. I went to the location in Smithtown. This store can become very overwhelming in a good way. We have been long time customers of the East Meadow store, so we were happy to hear that they had taken over the space here formerly occupied by King Kullen. We were not prepared for the way that this store presented itself - a virtual food palace. Upon entering, you first see the sushi department with prices comparable to other stores, but unusually high in quality. Then the deli meats and prepared meals with a vast array of options. Although I live on the east end, I always make sure that I make a stop at Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace in Port Jeff anytime I am heading to points west. The workers in the prepared food section are so friendly and helpful and the food is arranged in such a way that I wind up choosing much more then I came in for but that is a good problem! It is all delicious. The fresh mozzarella is a must, as is the pasta. I rarely shop for everyday items here and view it as more of a speciality shop.
