Had not been to an Giuseppe's until a couple years ago, partly because the Fairway's had retreated off the island. Totally different experience than some of the other national chains or regionals. I'd agree the Italian specialty items are superb, the bakery is incredible. This is probably the main reason I come in all the specialty unique to them vs other grocers. The deli and other pre-prepared items are superb, tons to choose from, and honestly you kind of look at it and can pull a Homer and start to do the "drool" its th... read more

I work for a non profit, and a generous donor wanted to donate dinner to the group home I work at for the staff and kids for thanksgiving. Meatballs, stuffed shells, seafood pasta and roasted veggies was donated to us. It was so delicious and the servings of both half and full trays were very generous. My favorite was the seafood pasta! Definitely the best supermarket in the Port Jeff area. Fresh produce, great prepared meals, an amazing selection of cheeses and pasta. Bon apetite. I do think they need a deli section that has sandwiches that are made to order, and not just prepared and sit around for a while. In my years here, I have only really encountered one issue. Today, the week of Thanksgiving, I arrived ready to be overwhelmed by their selection of pumpkin beer. I enter through the sliding glass door, laser focus, terminator style. I walk. The deli department is completely outstanding! Extremely cleaN and so much delicious variety!!! Bakery department always has the freshest cakes! I continue to shop at Uncle Giuseppe!!!!!!! Can't wait for the new store!!!! Keep it up uncle Giuseppe!!!!!!!!'
Love this grocery store. Nice change from the ordinary major grocery chain. They have great selection of food to go. I am not from NY but come here multiple times a month and i would love to import that grocery to my state. Highly recommend to check it out.

The supermarket is very good. Has great fresh Mozzarella, raviolis, monicotti. Cheese selection is great and friendly. Produce are always fresh. My only issue was the bolognese sauce I got this Friday, expiration date 11.10.21. It smelled horrible. Don't think it was going bad, probably added too much of one spice is what I am thinking. I bought it a month ago and it tasted great. So not sure what happened. But, I won't buy it ever again. I will just make my own.
