Just like any other supermarket- did not see any "exciting" products like I would hope for in a "market." Agree with other poster- isles are very small and not a place where social distancing is easy. The store is not enforcing social distancing by controlling how many customers go into the store and I did not see any wipes to wipe down carts/baskets.
Nothing but great things to say about Uncle Giuseppe's! Super impressed by both quality and value! We used them to cater for two separate parties and everyone was raving about the abundance of food and how delicious everything was. Anthony from the Bakery and Doreen from catering are the best @ what they do. Anthony not only makes the best cakes and desserts but the guy is an artist with his designs. They almost look too good to eat. Doreen is absolutely a professional. Just tell her how many people you are having and the theme and she will orchestrate a catering event for you no one will forget. Although I enjoy shopping at the market, it's very upsetting that they don't have a quick check out line. Every grocery store has a check out for 10 items or less. During covid many offer a lane for 65 and older customers. I had three items and was told to wait on line that stretched back past the meat counter and to the deli counter. So I put my stuff back and left. Along with two other dissatisfied customers. Surprised at them.

Post storm, no power. I needed ice to try and salvage food from the freezer. Yeah, me and everyone else. After striking out at all the usual places, I tried UGM. No luck. So I asked if/when they would have it, and someone found a bag of ice for me that had been slightly damaged. I'm not sure what makes damaged ice unsalable, but it certainly worked for me! They were extremely gracious and helpful. Kudos!

I had a convo with someone who shops at a different UG and they love the place. Maybe because I keep expecting it to be Turco's on steroids, I'm frequently disappointed in this place. No more fresh mozzie, no more self serve olive bar (OK, I'll give you a pass on this due to Covid), no more chicken burgers. I love this place! Their selection is great, their produce fresh, their prepared foods delicious, and their catering service is wonderful. The staff are pleasant and helpful. If we have any complaint whatsoever, they make good immediately. We used their curbside service recently (mid-pandemic) for a picnic. It worked beautifully.
