I love this place! Their selection is great, their produce fresh, their prepared foods delicious, and their catering service is wonderful. The staff are pleasant and helpful. If we have any complaint whatsoever, they make good immediately. We used their curbside service recently (mid-pandemic) for a picnic. It worked beautifully.
Most holidays or special occasions I go down to this Port Jeff location to order catering for my special events. I can't even begin to tell you how professional, knowledgeable, and friendly their staff is!!!! They are incredible when it comes to great customer service!!! They deliver the food too... that's always so helpful!!!! I'm just so lucky and thankful to have them when I'm already stressed as it is party planning. They are so helpful and accommodating! I can't understand all the negative reviews here. Yeah it might be a little pricier if you were to compare it to markets like acme or shoprite but the quality of goods differ. I love their homemade pastas as well as everything else. Their sushi is also so delicious. So many choices to choose from and if by any chance I cant find the sushi that I want the sushi chef is very kind to make me what I want on the spot with a smile. This weekend I ordered two cakes for my kids graduation party from the bakery department. They were both incredible! Not only did the baker customize each cake the way we asked, the cakes looked great and we have no words for how delicious they both were. Best place to get To-Go family dinners (meat balls are perfect). Even if you want to host a dinner party, best selection for charcuterie board meats and cheeses. A tad over your typical corporate market- but it's quality over quantity and Uncle G's is the place to go!

Everything has the look of overflowing and in your face. From canned goods to grilled chicken, it's all literally piled high. They also make mozzarella and pasta on premises. Be prepared to pay a premium on most items, however, it doesn't stop anyone from coming in.

Our first visit - we're 20 mi. south so a "quick run" to the market is out of the question. Overall - very impressed. I would shop here again soon. Very, very large selection of prepared foods and great pasta choices! I think a non-cook will really love it. As a standard grocery store, no nits whatsoever. It's got what you need.
