This was my second time kayaking with cape fear river adventures and it was great.... Again. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I wish there was another option for rental time of four hours. Currently, you can choose the 2 hr rate or all day. We had a great time and I can't wait to go again!
We went on the 10 mile white water adventure on 10/17/15. The guide explained everything in detail including landmarks we would see, and where the pick up point was. Had a great time, and fun experience. Great for beginners and moderate kayaking when the water level is low. There are Rapids, and up to 3ft falls. Saw some wild life, and epic scenery. We found this service online while looking for canoe access. Their website offered several tours ranging from a few hours to overnight. They accommodate single, groups, reservations. They have equipment which seemed to be in excellent condition to include tubes, canoes, coolers and everything else to include sunscreen their explanation of their packages, and different routes to include the description of the water was spot on. Beautiful day on the water, and by day I mean the whole entire day! I truly mean the entire day! Upon entering the water we quickly realized that the water was not moving, in fact from this point on, I will refer to the so called "River" as a kiddy pool with dangerous rocks and algae in every direction. We just recently took a ride down the cape Fear River through this company. It was not what I expected and there were no real clear instructions on where you needed to get out of the river with the exception of a orange diamond hidden by trees. When we realized we needed to exit we were in the middle of the river and we desperately were backstroking to get to the exit. We needed assistance and yelled for help. 16 June, 2018 Did the tube river run. Everything was great for the most part. Friendly staff, all the good you'd expect to include a safety brief that they stated, if you have a medical emergency, they will come in as medal boat, to retrieve you. Now of course, I know, meaninng if your hurt, etc. Now here's the major screw up.
