Definitely have buyers regret I fully regret purchasing a vehicle from Vandergriff Acura. Once theyou "earn" your business they don't keep any of their promises. The service department is a nightmare. Went to get service today. No one bothered to mention my car was on the recall list. When I returned on my own a few hours later the sales reps were very unprofessional and not helpful in the least bit. I wish I had purchased elsewhere.
Deceptive practices I bought a 2016 Acura MDX from this dealer. I want other customers to be aware of deceptive practices at this dealership. 1. Every car at this dealer comes with a dealer option called Skylink. Cost was around $950 which came down several hundred dollars when I declined to buy this option. Neither the sales people nor the finance people told me about Acura link which the car already had and includes the "protection" offered by Skylink. Two timing Jeff Jeff was working with us on an Acura RDX. The car was advertised as 'certified', however when we went to test drive the car we were informed we needed to pay an additional $795 for the cerification. After working around the false advertising we came to an agreement, and Jeff took our deposit to hold the vechicle. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! ! I brought my Jaguar in to be purchase. Was given an agreed upon price. A week later they called and said they changed their mind and did not want the car. Then offered to buy it for $2000 less than agreed. I went in to pick it up and my dashboard was damaged. They had it marked and tagged to go to auction. It was obvious they thought I would take the low offer. But worst of all they damage to my car makes it $1000 less in value. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!
Good communication after the initial contact - Service Dept I purchased my MDX in June of 2014. It is a new 2014 fully loaded MDX. Now the car makes noises. I live in Little Elm, which at the time when the car was sold to us they said it's within 50 miles of their pickup/drop off range so I was happy to hear that I could have that service whenever I needed repairs/warranty work. Service Department I bought my 2014 MDX in Sept. 2013 from Vandergriff. When I bought my vehicle the salesman was very nice. I am now having problems with my MDX not starting, the tailgate not opening or closing, the electronic panels and dashboard blackout while I'm driving down the road. Friendly and accommodating staff I came in to have my 2001 MDX fixed and drove out in a 2015 MDX. The staff patiently helped me with the programming and understanding the programming procedures. Garrett Martinez, the service mgr, personally communicated with me regarding the extra parts I had ordered and saw to it they were installed properly. I appreciate all their efforts to make my new purchase a pleasant experience.
Liked salesman but not dealership I came to Vandergriff Acura to look at a used Chevrolet Cruze I found on the internet. I talked to Daren Beames on the phone prior to my visit. I arrived at approximately 4:00 P.M. and brought cash to buy the car if I liked it. I was assured on the phone before the visit the car was in perfect working order. Customer Curtesy Response to GM: This is laughable. The GM, John Ellis says he is horrified by my bad experience at Vandergriff Acura and he asked that I call or email so that he could get the details on what I happened. Guess they didn't read my post where I stated that I had already emailed the GM at jellis@vtaig.com with details.
