Get directionsWe had a $$$ Chesapeake retriever pup that supposedly had a couple impacted teeth. After supposed specialist-level surgery under general anesthesia we received a truly outrageous bill. Hidden in pages of itemized charges was $55 for “warming therapy”. I have news for this rogue Vet... prevention of hypothermia is included in basic post-anesthesia care. The Chessy never retrieved as well as he did before the procedure. He was eventually sold (w/ disclosure) as a started dog at significant financial loss. Do what you can to av... read more

Our processes and systems have changed over the last five years and no longer charge for warming therapy and we also do not have hidden fees. A detailed estimate is reviewed with each client prior to any surgical procedure. We apologize that you were displeased with your last visit and hope you will reconsider publishing this review.
Only if you have a dire emergency. Something has drastically changed from the old facility to the new one in compassionate teamwork atmosphere and trust on a Consistent Basis. The vets themselves act professional, yet if you can wait please see your own vet or a walk-in clinic like El Paso in Derby who consistently work together as a compassionate team with pet parents under stressful situations and have also recently moved to a new facility. Ask your vet for a plan to cover pet care over the weekend. They are understaffed ... read more

If there was another option in town we would most definitely be going there. We went 4 hours without an update on our cat who was vomiting blood. Whenever we asked for an update they said someone would call us back right away. This never happened. We understand that they are understaffed and over stressed but this could be solved by the administration team by way of hiring more technicians and/or vets or even just a person whose sole job is communicating with the owners. Also, when we expressed frustration they resorted to m... read more

We went in at 7:45 pm because my dog was passing blood in her stool and vomit. In observance of COVID the hospital was doing curbside service. We finally got a tech about an hour into our wait and they took her inside. I didn’t hear anything for 2 hours so I called to check on her at 10 pm and they still had not looked at her. I was told there were 3 ahead of her so I waited until 11 pm rolled around and called again. I was told the exact same thing so I asked them to bring my fur baby back out to me, I was done at this... read more

Julie, During this pandemic, we’re experiencing record-high wait times for patients. We know waiting for pets to receive treatment can be quite concerning and frustrating. We're currently working to improve efficiencies in communication with the high patient volume. We apologize for your long wait, and we hope Penny is better soon!
Waited for 3 1/2 hours and still didn’t get seen or called about excess wait time. Seems like they cater to dogs. #catlivesmatter
Only last resort- took my cat for a swollen paw on a Saturday afternoon. After 2.5 hours and $394.00 he had been given antibiotics and pain meds. They did call to update they had to sedate him to treat him. So they return him saying all is good. To our surprise 4 days later got a call from vet our cat scratch a tech and they are turning him into animal control. If it happened we needed to be informed at the time. Animal control investigate and lets say it's all sketchy. my animal won't go back there. Right now you can't ev... read more

Peggy, we appreciate you leaving a detailed review. We deeply apologize for the stress of this situation. The employee who was scratched (not bit) was a very new employee and at the time of the incident this employee dismissed the faint scratch. Please know it is our policy that the employee should have communicated the incident immediately. The hospital would have then notify you at the time of the incident as well. Unfortunately that did not happen. Days later the employee's small scratch became very swollen and the employ... read more

I was given estimate. awesome. no complaints or concerns. an hour and a half later..... I still havent heard if a cystocentesis has been performed, if just an ultrasound was completed, or if he even produced a sample. (golly gee whiz! n... read more

0/5 stars. My mother in laws 14 year old lab cut his face on something sharp this evening. Lots of blood and on a Saturday night so we rush him to the emergency vet. Due to Covid, you must wait in your car, which is understandable. After 3 hours and calling multiple times they finally came and got him and took him in. Waited for another hour for the call with the treatment plan, only for them to call and say he bit a tech and he’s to be put on quarantine for 10 days and they’re not treating him because it’s been too long... read more

Warning to all people’s going here my puppy was in a bad car accident and it would have been an astronomical amount to fix her and told them to put her down now a few days later I find out they did the surgery and gave her away so be warned these people are liars and dognappers I will be going to get my dog today and if I have to I will involve police how are you going to give someone’s pet that was supposed to be put out of pain away and do surgery for free I assume
Business response:
Absolutely inaccurate. This dog was surrendered to us, in writing, because we deemed it could be saved. Euthanasia was unnecessary. We will have no further comment.
