Everything was wonderful but the service was very slow
We chose Vida for a business dinner with executives from out of state. First, the reservations were suppose to be in the bar by the front window. When we arrived, we were seated by the wine cellar. Not a deal breaker but in hindsite, an indication of what was to come. Our waiter was not friendly, talked so fast that most at the table didn't understand what he was saying but continued to recite rules of ordering which most of we couldn't hear. Great food and service, but the sports TV monitors don't fit the quality of the food and the expense. For three people with an hors d'oeuvres and a main course and a glass of wine, bill was over $200, no including tip. Also the bread served before the first course was disappointing--too sweet and cakelike. Give us better bread because the other food is really wonderful.
Meal was great. But service was very average. All other guest received a complimentary taster on spoon to start service and we did not. Waiter was friendly but not very attentive. Although support staff was great. I expect great service when I am spending $100 per person for dinner and wine.
As usual, the food was great. The service was very good. However, I do not believe the valet service works well. The valet guy is very dry and non-communicative. I did not feel good leaving my car with him. Further, if there is an $8 charge for valet-- I think I should be given change for my $10 bill and let me decide if I want to leave a further tip. Also, a receipt for the valet would be nice.
The service was very slow. Sat at the bar and had to wait over one hour for dinner. They do not cater to go to the free dairy free needs! They have a hard time varying from their menu.
Food was incredible, all fish. Server was very attentive but not overbearing. Nice celebration for my husband's birthday
Not what we expected🙁 I made the reservation January 30th for March 24th which I thought would be plenty of time to get a nice table. Instead we were sent to a plain room upstairs in the corner with no ambiance. We said we wanted to sit in the bar 3 times but it was like they didn't hear us. We were there for Devour Indy. We were disappointed at the very small portions for the $45 price. The waiter said the Devour deal was "tasting portions " of the regular menu. The filet was about one half inch thick and was accompanied by two small Brussels sprouts and two potatoes the size of a quarter. My salmon was probably four ounces and was cold. Very poor value. I left hungry.
