Food was wonderfully prepared. Nice ambience. Thought it was reasonably priced except for the overly priced $20 Himachi appetizer- consisted of two thinly sliced quarter pieces. The only other complaint we had was the service, it was a bit too much. We couldn’t take a sip of water without immediate refills, put a fork down without our plates being whisked off or clearing one persons plate before the other was done. We eat out frequently and so appreciate good service. This night left us being constantly interrupted and not t... read more
Loved the food here, but probably not worth the price! We did the chef’s wine pairing menu for $155 per person. There were several mishaps throughout our dinner. The entree was served before the wine, our bread never came, and the descriptions of the wine that was being poured came from 3 different individuals. One of whom just read it directly from the menu. I think the service could use some work if you’re going to charge that kind of price.
There are better fine dining options out there. This place is very midwest and nothing stood out. I'd try it once but brace for disappointment. Food was lukewarm, undercooked seafood, somewhat creative, but execution failed miserably. Service was not comparable to the level of dining experience they're shooting for. WAY too much salt on everything. We won't be coming back.
The food was great and we loved the creative menu, but the service was incredibly slow even though the restaurant was almost empty. It took over 3 hours for us to have dinner.
I dined at Vida about a year ago and was so impressed I couldn’t wait to return. Our recent meal was so disappointing I could claim it was the worst meal I’ve had out in a very long time. The chicken was dry, the appetizer was lame. Afterwards I was told the chef relocated to a new restaurant on the north side. HUGE difference. I won’t be wasting A LOT of my money on Vida again. It’s a shame because the building is lovely. Hope they can get their act together.
My good friend and I dine monthly at a nice restaurant in the Indianapolis and suburban area. This was our second visit to Vida. The first visit was flawless. I loved everything about Vida. This visit started out equally as wonderful. Our server was great. The food was as delicious as what we experienced the first time. Then the four obnoxious and rude guys were seated two tables away from us. From the moment they were seated my friend and I could not hear each other talking. In addition to talking very loudly one man was us... read more
The service was probably the worse experience I've had dining in Indianapolis
Food great but took way too long to be served. Waiter was rather inattentive. Decor is beautiful
We were excited to try Vida based on the reviews and menu selection. Cute, cozy little place. Service was notable. Pork belly soup extremely and grossly sweet, not true to Asian cuisine. "Morel" appetizer only contained a few pieces of morels, manager fixed the issue but admitted the kitchen tried to stretch the ingredients. A true chef would just 86 the dish. Strawberry bomb dessert was not palate pleasing. We just were not pleased 100%.
