Been stuck living in here and hate it. When they first got the properties they never looked to see if anything needed to be fixed. Raised rent 2 times. And you as the resident have to fix everything and keep up everything. The house im in its poorly insulated, it has a hole you look outside of. Foundation inside is cracked. I moved into a Vinebrook rental home in July 2022. It has been nothing but problems! I had to leave my rental home 4days ago due to visible Toxic MOLD on the walls. It's making me lightheaded, horrible migraines, skin rash,etc. Even my dog has mold spores!!! Every time you call you get an answering service I called the day I had to leave my home with an urgent matter and nobody has yet to reach out to me. We originally rented our home (3 years ago) from *** ****** ******but after his passing, the company was apparently sold to Vinebrook and now we rent from them. Unfortunately. When we moved into our home, we had a front porch. It was falling apart and after multiple attempts to get them to fix it, they had someone come out to “repair it”. They fixed two boards and the rest continued to fall apart like I told them it would. They finally sent a contractor out to look at it and he told us it was garbage and needed replaced. I gave a $600 partial security deposit for a property. The following week my grandmother was ill out of state. I was due to pay remaining balance on 2/9. I was not able to do this being out of town and reached out to leasing agent. She told me house would be back on the market but i could explore options when I came back. On 2/13 I contacted her to inform I was back and seen that the house was still available. Moved out in August of 2022 now In February of 2023 I received an alert on my credit report stating an outstanding invoice from this scumbag of a company. They charged me for September rent, late fees, keys and court costs. The collection agency has an invoice that’s completely different from the one I requested from Vinebrook, however, the charges add up to be the same. This company is full of scammers, liars, and slumlords who only care about money all while thousands of people including myself were living in mold infested... read more
First of all, It's very hard reaching someone from vinebrook, email this, email that just no contact. I did a scope of work for one of their properties & the guy I did the work for (ALLEN B******* didnt pay me, he was also trying to cut corners. He stop answering my calls, texts & emails, even had the nerve to say he would block my number. A company that keeps an attorney on hand so they can do things like not except your payments in office and have technical problems with online payments so that means you pay fifty dollar late fee and then lawyer fees until the next month it all starts again until you can afford your own attorney its so sad I am away fighting for my country when they started their games with me I actually had to come all the way to Missouri because of they on have answering service no live people to help you I am trying to make it through my ... read more
Terrible company, run by terrible people, its crazy how what they do isn’t criminal but it’s the world we live in they own everywhere like a monopoly adjusts prices and makes finding an affordable home impossible.
I’ve been having furnace issues and with the weather being only 20+ degrees outside. Plus I have a 2 year grandchild who resides with me. I put work orders in and the maintenance workers haven’t fixed anything plus I have to wait an additional 3 days before a worker reaches out when it’s considered a emergency. You call the corporate office to get more detailed info on when a technician will be out and they can never tell you when but to go to their website and check and that gives you no information employees are rude there... read more
