LOVE IT! I just watched Spotlight on Saturday morning and it was the most pleasant movie experience of my life. I was in theater 8 which only has three rows of seats. The seats recline completely and I had a table for my coffee. I felt like I was cuddled up in my living room. This place is the best. They show the best movies and the atmosphere is terrific
If you enjoy seeing movies in a mall multiplex, please keep going there! (That'll leave more seats available for the rest of us at the Violet Crown.) This is hands-down the most enjoyable movie-going experience I've ever had -- what's not to love about a cold draft beer at your seat while watching a movie! Excellent theater and great movie experience. If there was ever such thing as a "fancy" tier in movie theaters, Violet Crown would definitely take the cake. It steps apart from other theaters in one simple aspect: concessions. That is, the concessions are excellent and reasonably-priced food and drinks. My experience watching Deadpool at this theater was increased ten-fold with the ability to eat truffle fries and sip on a Bold Rock cider. Awesome and clean theatre with reclining seats. Reviews about it being like a home theatre are correct. The butter popcorn was delicious and not too salty which made us eat a ton. Our seat was a little too far over so I recommend you reserve in advance or arrive early enough to get a good seat. We arrived 10 mins before and snagged the last 2 seats in the room. Rooms are small and seats are limited. Overall a great movie experience!
Stellar theater that is built for the movie lover. Modern, clean, and courteous. Great food with trays at your seats to carry into the theater. Full bar with cocktails, beers, and other great drinks. They give you your own cup for soft drinks and it's self-serve right outside the theater, so it's like you're a real boy and can get your own drinks. My boyfriend and I went to see Deadpool here yesterday 2/13 and were very impressed with the place. We ordered a couple drinks from the downstairs bar. And they were very friendly and quick service. When he ordered the tickets he was able to choose our seats so we didn't feel rushed to get into the theater to get good seats which was also nice. The seats themselves were very comfortable and roomy. I would highly recommend going here and we will be attending more movies here in the future for sure.
Love this theater so glad Stonefield has some competition. This is our theater of choice so glad you guys are in cville. The drinks could be a little stronger but overall good experience
Ok I give it a 3 outta 5, for a couple of reasons. Most of the waiting staff was new and not really being trained, from what I saw. It took forever to get our drinks, but like I said, "rookie waiters". However the food was deliciously scrumptious. It saved the night. Best movie theater hotdog I ever had.
Love this theater! The seats are very comfortable, and all seats have motorized reclining with footrests in the small theaters (only the front row reclines in the big theater). I've seen 2 movies there so far (one big theater, one small) and the sound quality was excellent in both. Staff is courteous: one even gave us a tour of a theater before we bought our tickets so that we could better select our seats. I like having reserved seats.
