Do not understand the false claim that it supports ipad users. Vonage should delete that claim because their app does not work. Sorry Vonage.... but until you fix this problem I cannot give you a good rate.
Good: very good app for Vonage extension. No need to dial in using the dial in number and provide pin. It directly place the call using wifi or it internally connects with phone and place the call by slipping dial in and pin. Bad: 1) During the call, if an alarm rings, the vonage call will be on hold and it is not possible to remove the hold back. Got to disconnect and connect the call again. 2) some times, I am getting an error that the call cannot be placed when the other call is active even when no calls are active.
Needs fixes
Despite what it says in the App Store, version 2.3 does not run on iPad and iPod touch. It might work OK on iPhone devices, but I don't have one, so I can't comment. Giving Vonage the benefit of the doubt I'll give it two stars. But there is no reason for Vonage not to inform their customers of this limitation. For some of us it can have bad consequences. @Vonage - please fix your app or fix your App Store add!
Tango claims app will only work with full access to my address book. Other calling apps allow you to build a alternative directory.
This app is a hit or miss. I made international calls thru this app and I received a bill from my carrier AT&T for the same. Vonage do not even take responsibility for the faulty app and AT&T says they have received this issue from several Vonage app customers and they cannot do anything about it. In short pay the charges to AT&T for the calls made thru Vonage app, if for any reason the call does not get routed thru Vonage correctly. Use at your own risk!
Won't work on iPod
… despite what the Requirements say. You also have to force-quit it because the notice keeps reappearing.
Great for calling the US with my iPhone over wifi while traveling overseas. It is also great for making international long distance calls when I am out and about in the US. The Manage My Home Account feature is very, very buggy. I have to log in several times. It always says I have actions that need to be taken but when I click on the message nothing happens.
