Avoid at all costs (no pun intended) because money is their number one priority. Horrible staff, no communication with me until the bill was ready - and came out $2000 over their original quote - this is simply a profit center. I've asked around and everyone I've spoken with has had a similarly bad experience. I just took my dog to a vet outside Stone Harbor in cape may county - he is from South Carolina and has heard all about this place - apparently their bad reputation is well known.. So do yourself a huge favor and go ... read more

I waited six months to write this review -- just to be sure I could approach it with some perspective. My very happy 5-year-old American bulldog died in the care of Dr. Sadanaga, and, six months later, I am still convinced that it could have been avoided. We took our dog here because he needed to see a specialist. He needed a scope of his nose because one nostril appeared to be blocked. (The scope requires the dog to be under anesthesia.) The scope revealed that our guy had a polyp in his nose, which, we were told, Dr. S... read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND VRC to ANYONE! Had to rush there for an emergency MRI only to discover that our dog had abdominal masses that had ruptured and ultimately required that we put him to sleep. The Vet was incredibly insensitive, demonstrating his primary concern for us to sign his waiver forms and pay the bill. He rushed us out of the treatment room after putting our beloved pet to sleep so that they could keep their "factory" running by getting us out so another dollar could come through the door. We have gone to some of... read more

I have to lower my review. I realized that the CD of x-rays I had done of my dog's legs before I consulted VRC was missing. I contacted them to see if they still had it. VRC was going to charge me for its return. They told me it is their policy and that they normally keep it. This annoyed me greatly. I'd also asked for copies of my dog's leg post-surgery--two images. VRC said it would cost me $10 per image and $5 for the DVD. Now I was very annoyed and said to simply return my own CD of my images to me. After I poi... read more

I want to come back as in my next life as a Veterinarian surgeon! Boy, these guys sure know how to make money! I walked in for my dog's torn ACL, and low and behold, they quoted me $2700 for the operation, which takes 1/2 hour to perform, and one overnight. Then they wanted half of the money upfront and the rest due the next day. Talk about savvy doctors! More so, they charged me for the follow-up appt the next week of $150 more for the 15 minute exam. We should all be so lucky.... to drive Porsches. Dog was fine. I'm sure ... read more
