Get directionsWARNING, they only want your money!!!! I took my dog here for an MRI because he was limping terrible. Called ahead, warned them numerous times that he is very anxious and needs a lot of sedation when at the vet. I also informed them that he ate at 5:30 am that morning, the night before when I scheduled no one informed me he would be put to sleep for an MRI and I was NOT told to not feed him after midnight. Everyone I spoke to knew he ate, and they still proceeded to try to put him asleep for the MRI. I know I signed pap... read more
Does extra services knowing your dog is dying, added extra procedures, all I ask for was an ultrasound of her stomach and after seeing many tumors they continued to do her chest and heart and then had the nerve to prick her to test to see if she had cancer, after telling us she has about a month to live! WHY? The doctor was very nasty when I called to question the charges, he said well at least I was able to diagnose your Dog when 3 others couldn't so you should be happy I did what I did! Arrogant ignorant waste of space d... read more
Took my otherwise healthy dog here for a leg X-ray to confirm that the surgery performed years earlier was not causing him any issues. I was instructed to use the ER because the surgeon who initially performed the surgery was on vacation. My situation was not an emergency nor was it trauma related, but they said go anyway (same price). I explained this to the techs upon arrival. To say the least, they put my otherwise healthy dog through the ringer with their 'normal' exam process, which included checking his anal glands,... read more
DO NOT. GO. TO DR. SCHELLING. Unless you want to cry and be terrified your cat is dying because of his convinced attitude. Horrible, horrible experience with zero bedside manner and zero common sense as a doctor. My cat Buster went to Dr. Schelling 2 years ago, right before Christmas for an ultrasound because of some nasty blood work results. Dr. Schelling walked into the room with a big smile, acting kinda pompous. "Ohhh, 'der's Mr. Buster-man!" Made me think maybe everything's ok. Says his results are showing either feline... read more
I arrived early to my appointment due to living an hour and a half away from the practice. I informed them when I made the appointment I would be traveling from out of state. When I arrived 20 minutes early the receptionist informed me the Dr. that I had the appointment with was running 20 minutes behind because he had an emergency. Emergencies happen, so I sat down and waited. After waiting for 45 minutes after my appointment time, I asked the receptionist how much longer the wait would be. She responded "I told you he had ... read more
*note: if you have a similar experience, please ensure you complaint to the AAHA and the PA state board of veterinary medicine. Came here for a liver ultrasound for possible liver failure in our dog. Dr. Schelling told us it looked rough but we had plenty of time to slow it down or potentially even reverse the problem. Scheduled a biopsy and took a day off work for the appointment and halfway through the hour drive, we were called and told the Dr. wasn't in today and it needed to be rescheduled. Rescheduled for a differen... read more
Very frustrating. My dog had an emergency in the middle of the night and he was rushed there by my petsitter. They took him right in and did testing and stabilized him. The level of care is not why I am going to give them a bad review. It is because the bill came to $715 when I put him down and that night I attempted to take care of my bill via care credit. I am not sure why the bill was not paid that night but now they will not allow me to pay over the phone. I live an hour away from VRC and they want me to drive the... read more
i am not one to be vindictive. But, VRC really did me wrong. First of all, I took my dog in and told them the problems she was having. They never addressed (or they said the problem wasn't there, which it was!) a certain health issue. We were charged $1500 for about 24 hours! I spoke with the management and got no where. We were overcharged. They plainly told me that they did 'nothing wrong.' When I picked up my dog, her eyes were dirty and runny, I would expect better care. Also, I didn't like it that a Tech or someone lik... read more
We took our Doberman here and received extremely subpar care. We had to make separate appointments for each doctor that our dog saw. The doctors would not share the information with each other so we could not get any type of answer on how to deal with the problem. After spending thousands of dollars with no resolution and only frustration we took our dog to a vet in Upper Gwynedd and they helped us stabilize our dog and prolong her life.
