(Activities Not Rated) The people at Atria were alert and friendly. The residents seem to be upper middle class which is what our loved one is used to being around. They offer a higher level of care. The community is really pretty and really a higher class type of community. The size of the studio was bigger then the previous community for about the same cost. The staff has been very cooperative during the move in. They are providing transportation and seem like they really take care of the residents.

We chose it because it was a warm and welcoming community. My father has lived in this area for the majority of his life so he was able to stay in the neighborhood. Patty is just wonderful and everyone on the staff is just so nice. The only issue we have had is when he first got to Atria he was seated by an employee and then a resident came up to him and told him he was in her seat although there is no assigned seating. The staff is very happy and pleasant seems like no one is in a bad mood. I like the demeanor of the staff they seem to really have passion for what they do. The care services they offer are great they really go above and beyond. They offer lots of activities and keep the residents busy if they chose to participate. I was there for Father’s Day and they had a perform come in and sing covers of songs, which was really fun, both my father and I enjoyed it. The best of all we saw. Laurie was very well-prepared for our visit with a complete tour, introductions to staff and other residents. We had lunch at a table she arranged ahead of time. The building was clean and well-maintained. The rooms were lovely, with a balcony and accommodations for pets. Laurie made some concessions on price, making it very doable for my mother. It is most likely the place she will go when the time comes.

Current resident: Place is always dirty and smells. I have made several complaints about the cleanliness but it hasn’t changed. I have seen reviews that speak to the cleanliness of the place. Are you sure they are taking about West Park Senior Living. Also the residents are very rude and nosy. I don’t enjoy living here, biggest mistake of choosing this place to live in.

We have an open door policy for residents to make suggestions that will help improve the community; we do not appreciate it when a resident writes misleading reviews (on several social media sites) to stir up trouble. We have had numerous discussions with this resident, who is the only person writing negative reviews, and we are fully aware of her concerns.
Mom is very unhappy because her rent has doubled and the food is not as good or as plentiful since West Park was bought by a new company. They close the facility at 6 PM every night. So, if we bring her back later, we have to practically break in.

When Pacifica took over the community there was much work to do such as handle deferred maintenance and bring services into line. Our prices are currently competitive within the market. The staff at West Park Senior Living are friendly. The housekeeping is okay. The meals are sometimes good and sometimes not that great, but you can order something different if you don't care for the main entrée. So, there are plenty of options. The move in process was hard due to our commute, but they worked with us. I would recommend West Park Senior Living to others.
