Leasing Office That Hates Tenants It seems like it is company policy to treat their tenants like garbage. Speaking of garbage, even though it costs over $40 a month for a mandatory valet trash fee, the only way to recycle is in a single dumpster in a parking lot that is used by every building in the complex. Location can't be beat; West Village.....average, at best Moved to West Village in Jun 18. Love the location; West Village is in the heart of everything that is Downtown Durham. Amenities are okay; pool, gym, activity room, etc. Nothing extra special. The office staff have generally been helpful; West Village is like any other apartment complex, they are there to rent the apartments, and they will tell you anything, even if it isn't exactly accurate. Worst Staff in History! The location is absolutely amazing in downtown Durham. Unfortunately this is the only amazing thing about this apartment complex. The staff is unwilling to help with ANY issues, trash if often never picked up, there is dog poop in parks, common areas, and sidewalks, cars are constantly broken into, things are constantly stolen, and the staff has no problem lying about anything and everything. Think twice before you sign! Think twice!! I moved into West Village May of 2017 and out April 2018. Our moving out situation has been awful full of additional fees and a overcharge in rent over $4900! When I put in a letter of concern nothing was addressed and they put the blame back on us the tenant and First Billing Services. It's nice property but the staff has very high turnover and no one takes the time to really see what issue you are having or any type of resolution. Not a Great Place There is always dog poop everywhere and the managers are lazy. They charge you for everything and the value doesn’t match the cost
Incredible Incompetence I've never interacted with a more incompetent leasing office in my life. They had to send 6 separate leasing documents because of their clerical errors. They are unhelpful, lazy and generally a terrible group to interact with.
Stay Away I wouldn’t recommend this apartment complex they charge you for everything. They don’t keep the common areas clean dog poop every where rude people and just not a good place to live. The gates are never locked
WV-Durham The location was good. That is about it. Cars were stolen while I lived here and I never felt safe. Anyone could come into our building. Our maintenance requests were never fulfilled. We were charged ludicrous things with no justification. I understand the good reviews on here for the location, but my god it is not worth it. Everything else about this place is appalling. I tell anyone looking to move to Durham to steer clear of this place.
West Village The English language does not contain enough negative words to accurately convey West Village. If you are living in Durham, DO NOT live here, unless you enjoy paying for things that you are not receiving. The location is great, do not get me wrong. But you will not actually get what you pay for, nor will you interact with staff who know what they are talking about. Trust me.
