I have been taking my dog (8 year old Boston Terrier) here for the last 5 years. Unfortunately I did not realize the situation before it was too late. For the past 3 years (at least) I would take my dog to see dr. Jones (something like 4 to 5 X a year) . My dog's behavior had been increasingly changing and I was trying to find out what was wrong with her by: TAKING HER TO THE VET. For every complaint I had there was a "look" like I was "overreacting"! I have asked her if she could have Dog Dementia? Canine Cognitive Dysfunc... read more

Camila, we are sorry to hear this news about your beloved pet. Our doctor will be reaching out offline to address your concerns.
Came in for a re-check on the same issue and was charged another $90 for the visit alone. Re-checks are usually $50 but they also have to fall with one month's time. We came in 8 weeks later because the issue never went away .....aaand money grubbing place wants their extra $40!! Also, is it standard practice to give a "foot soak" in the back without a word, and tack on $30 for it? What about charging literally 2x+ the price for medication vs petcarerx.com and not even mentioning an option to give us the prescription and ... read more

Hi Ash, thank you for your feedback. Responsible veterinary care can be costly. Your pet is our number one priority and we offer the best possible care and treatments. When you initially called to get a refill, it had been 9 months since your pet's last exam. A lot can change over such a long time period and our doctors needed to do a full exam to make sure that the previously used and/or recommended medication was still the best course of treatment. When you came in for the solution, you received a full exam due to the amou... read more
finally changed to Vets after several years trying WVVH because it was closest. They seem to care much more about my credit card than my pet. She has had the same condition for 12 years they require an office visit before refilling her medication. Also the teak benches are great for the Hamptons but very pet unfriendly since their feet go though the slats and could injure them. The last two visits I waited over an hour before anyone would see me, even for minor things. If you can walk a few blocks more I would recommend a di... read more

Thank you for your feedback, Marvin. Our records indicate it was over a year since prescribing your pet's antibiotics. It is our policy to perform a thorough exam on your pet after such a period of time has passed to ensure she is still healthy enough to take the medication and ensure the antibiotics will still be effective at treating her symptoms. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and hope you and your pet are doing well.
I did not care for this place at all. I took my dog in because I found a lump on her belly. The doctor hardly looked at it and instead tried to sell me a teeth cleaning package. As an after thought the doctor said that while my dog was under anesthesia getting her teeth cleaned they'd take a look at the lump. I said that I would consider the teeth cleaning in the future and start brushing her teeth more, but what I'm really concerned about is the lump right now. The doctor went on to say that brushing wouldn't do much and th... read more
DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE or any of the locations associated with it!!!!!!!! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE PLACE!!! They almost killed my dog during a surgery and wanted me to put him down so they wouldn't be held responsible. I even got a phone call from a staff member there who wouldn't tell me her name but wanted me to know that they screwed up during surgery. They are extremely negligent. The owner of the practice, Dr. Mark Burns, only cares about money. He has a HORRIBLE reputation in the veterinary world. Unfortunately, I didn... read more
They were unfamiliar with my dog's breed and treated us with prejudice based on their ignorance, thinking his lack of teeth (one of the breed's characteristics) were caused by abuse or neglect. Unfortunately it was not a one time event and when they couldn't find his microchip they doubted if I had removed it and my dog was stolen. Similar things happened over a course of one year. I had to go there as it was the closest vet to home, but I wonder if they treat everyone with the same prejudiced and insulting attitudes. I ... read more

Dear Santiago; I am not certain you are reviewing the correct hospital for 2 reasons: I spoke with Dr. Carbonell and the other staff and they could think of no person, pet, or situation matching the one you describe. Secondly, this is a hospital that is new as of 2008. We have all new fixtures, exam equipment, digital xray, arthroscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, dental xray, full surgical suite, and a true state of the art facility; I don't think any reasonable person would see it as obsolete. We are located on Eighth Aven... read more
I moved to chelsea so figured I would look for a vet close by and gave this place a try. I have an older dog who has pretty bad teeth and she got an infection.. so went there to get it checked. The vet was UNABLE to open my pets mouth and take a proper look at her teeth.. (sure my dog freaks out but other vets were confident enough to open an 12lbs dogs mouth). Instead she pointed out "problems" my old dog had that I was entirely aware of. She guilted me into doing unnecessary test which would turn out all fine. (at costs of... read more
I hate giving this Vet such a negative review, because they were really very nice. The receptionist there is especially awesome, and the facility is gorgeous. However, the quality of care my dog received here was sub-par. I found a lump on my dogs leg, and she underwent surgery here to have it removed. The wound was on the part of her leg where it bent. After the surgery, the doctor sewed the wound up with around 10 stitches. The wound quickly opened and became infected. She had to undergo surgery again, and this ti... read more
