You and your pet are just a number here. Not only that but the staff is not that friendly. I quit brining my dog here. I was going for a while because it was closer to my house then my original vet and the prices were a little lower but I would rather pay more and my animals and myself be treated well and valued. I did however still use their doggy daycare. Its 15.00 for the day which I figure is great for days I have to work long shifts. Its not so great......... Took our dog (75 lb. 9 & 1/2 yr old 100%healthy Irish wolfhound mix) here when he seemed to be having a hard time with bowl movements. My husband took him and with the xray veterinarian #1 said it was bladder stones. Given two options surgery or a saline catheter to possibly move the stones we went with the less painful option. Knowing it wasn't a guarantee, the next day it was obvious surgery was needed. So we took him in. one star is too much for this facility. they misdiagnosed my precious loving dog,, then let her suffer for almost 3 wks with a corn cob in her belly, then did surgury, twice and i was told she died in second surgury, she was cremated immediately and i was not able to see her, my last memory is her being carried away so weak she could not walk, i will never get that image out of my mind, to add insult to my loss, they charged me over 2000 dollars and now are holding my dogs ashes hostage for over 700 dollares (which i neve... read more

Had 2 horrible experience at Yorkville Animal Hospital. Actually, one experience was horrible, and the other horrific! Suffice to say that the horrific one was when our healthy dog died during a planned one-week boarding. Stay away. These people are not to be trusted with your pets!!

We recently got a dog from Petland in Naperville and only took him here since the visit was supposed to be free and we would get a free neutre if we took him to this vet until he had his neutre. The first visit was not free at all they charged us for the visit and all the vaccinations, medication and tests. He ended up having Giardia, which is a intestinal parasite. They told us this was no big deal and gave us medication. After much thought we took him to see our regular vet. We discovered that he had an extremely bad case... read more

It seems this place does not do well when they screw up. We brought in our poodle for a grooming, when she was picked up she couldn't keep her eye open. We turned around on the drive home to bring her back. The doc said they "may have clipped her eye while trimming." Don't you think that is something to say when she was picked up??? Upon her check up visit a week later, she needed surgery on her eye as the drops weren't working. I really wanted to fall in love with this facility because it LOOKS like I should, but unfortunately I don't have anything amazing to share. The reception staff is more or less depressing, most of them don't even look up to acknowledge anyone, let alone smile, and I used to frequent for doggy day care so I have 10+ visits with which to draw my general conclusion. We purchased a Dog from Petland in Naperville, we got the Dog fairly cheap since he was already 4 months old and he was sweet as pie and couldn't say no. Anyways all said and done in order to get him neutered for free we had to follow up with shots ect ect with Yorkville animal hospital. Talk about extremely rude staff!!!! After the first check up that was supposed to be free, it cost $180.00, they gave him vaccines he already had, they realized it his next appointment, the next morning, because he was pooping blood!!!!! This place is horrid - bad staff, high charges, they nickel and dime you to death and charge you for their incompetence. They also work with all the pet stores, which tells you where they are in regards to integrity. I had a horrible experience with them, charging for unnecessary services and for services I specifically declined. Bad all the way around.
