We had our mastiff boarded there back in March 2015. I though while she was going to be there for a week it would be a good time for her to be spayed because she would be right there if she needed anything. I remember they called me Saturday morning to tell me surgery went well and she was doing great. This animal hospital is the worst I have ever been to by far! I took my Siberian Husky here for boarding for a few days and when I picked her up her fur was completely yellow from being soaked in her own urine! When we got her home she was suffering from frequent urination and crying every time she urinated because she had developed a UTI while being boarded at Yorkville Animal Hopsital. My husband and I bought our puppy in to see the vet due to her coughing I expected it was going to be kennel cough as we just got her from Petland. The vet checked and told us it was "kennel" cough and prescribed us meds for our 4 month old puppy to take. Our puppy however was not getting any better, we then returned for a 2nd visit to get another look/opinion. We then were told her lungs had traces of pneumonia. I took my new puppy here from April 2015-November 2015. Here are my thoughts on the place..I know there is a lot here, but I think there is a lot that needs to be shared: The positives: -The facility is very modern and clean. -The vets seem to be knowledgeable and kind. -They have convenient hours. What could use improvement: -The front desk staff are typically very rude and nasty. I had to get my dog spayed at this facility under the contract from the rescue I got her from. I got her spay and dew claws removed all at one time. There were a bunch of extra charges that I had to pay for in order to have the surgery done that I did not know about until I was there ready to hand over my pup. They also told me they could not use dissolvable stiches for the dew claws, even though my normal vet says that is all he ever uses. Was taking our dog there to get groomed by Linda. She nicked him the last 2 times and he wasnt dried completely so he developed an infection. Long hairs over his eyes and on his paws. Called to complain never received a call back.

Basically The vet techs and one of the managers accused me of lying saying that "I was changing the Story". I took my dog in for a teeth cleaning they call me and tell me they want to pull 18 teeth, I said I'm only authorizing the molars as of now give me ten minutes to talk to my family and I will call you back. I called back and I said were not going to have any more pulled. We took are dog here for teeth cleaning. They called and said she need "a few molars pulled." (Aren't a few 3-4 ?) When I called back to the clinic they were in the process of pulling ALL my dogs teeth. I immediately had them stop the extractions, remove the dog out of surgery and immediately take her to recovery. My dog now has 1/2 of her teeth gone on one side of her mouth and the other 1/2 are clean and shiny, WT*? The office staff were rude as was the Vanessa (who should be fired). I had two sick animals: My parrot and my rabbit. Both were "treated" at Yorkville Animals Hospital and both are dead long before their time. My rabbit was five and my parrot was 12. These folks claimed they could treat my animals, but they obviously couldn't. What they did was take my money and allowed my beloved pets to die painfully. The staff is unprofessional and cold. If you love your pet NEVER take them to these butchers.
