I gave them a 1 star based on the front desk staff alone. They are very rude, not friendly at all and actually told me the doctor doesn't know what the animals need. The doctors have been great, as I have been going here for 5 years. My dog needed work done and should have stayed over night, but I decided to take her home. A bill that went from $250 up to $353 which was fine but when the front desk the morning of refused to take my dog because I did not want to do optional vaccines my bill went over $400. Sounds like a bait... read more

I honestly didn't think I could be anymore dissapointed in this place... I've brought all my pets here, because of the closeness it was our best option.. We brought our lab midnight who had a heart attack two weeks after this place assured us she was doing great.back in 2010 Sure maybe that was just bad luck for our pupp. But We also brought our kitten misty in numorous times, for we never really did find a diagnosis for her loss of fur, throwing up and just literally not moving all day.she died at only 4 years old because we... read more

Took my dog for a teeth cleaning and grooming. I was very disappointed in what I got. Worst grooming job ever. Was told that they would call if any problems. This is a little yorkie which are known to have teeth problems. When i went to pay they said she had 3 teeth pulled. The girl left and made sure I signed the consent form which I did. When she returned she said they pulled 19. I think that deserves a call. Got my dog back with half her teeth and poop entangled in her hair. The Vet was suppose to call me and explain, whi... read more

We drove 5 hours to adopt our puppy from Jellystone Bark. We were thrilled when we pulled in to the parking lot and walked in, as it was the most beautiful vet hospital we had ever seen. The front staff wasn't that friendly, but we were excited to get our puppy along with several others that were in the waiting room. We went into the exam room and were united with our little 8 week old pup. I noticed he smelled and was very lethargic, and my daughter picked a flea off of him. We were told he had fleas and was transported in... read more

I originally really liked this place, taking our Mastiff Tank in for checkups. The staff was always friendly and they seemed to be good with him. When we were going away for a weekend with the family we figured boarding Tank at Yorkville Animal Hospital was the best choice. We upgraded his entire stay and included daily doggy play time in there as well. We were also promised he would be bathed and groomed upon our return. When we got home my husband went and picked tank up and immediately brought him home. The first th... read more

I recently bought a puppy from Petland in Batavia, IL and at the store they gave me a coupon for a 50% off spay/neuter at one of their designated veterinary locations. After figuring out which location was the closest to my home, I chose to use the Yorkville Veterinary Clinic in Yorkville, IL. On September 4, 2013, after putting me on hold to verify what was covered, Maggie told me the cost for a dog under 25 pounds and under 6 months of age was $255 including pain management, anesthesia, and anything else needed. She said... read more

Beware!!!! Horrible vet hospital!!!! We rescued 2 dogs that were boarded there and both dogs had bordetella, fleas and worms. They also told us that they had there shots and found out that they didn't have them. There is no excuse at all for dogs that have been boarded at a hospital to be as sick as these dogs were. The staff at the hospital are also very rude and do nothing to help you. I had to order dome heartworm prevention meds from 1-800-PET-MEDS and they lost the prescription twice. Called them again and spoke ... read more

My friends dog has been there for 5 weeks post-op because of their negligence after a surgery, I've had my dogs there and the staff is not friendly at all and I really believe that they don't give a damn about your pet, only your money. I'll spend the little bit extra and take my 3 fur babies to a good vet. This place is ok for shots and heartworm checks, but when you separate the men from the boys is when your dog is really sick or needs surgery and these folks are definitely not able to handle anything complicated.
