We took our cat in to get spayed after an original price quote of $199.00. We arrive and they asked my wife if we wanted the stitches that dissolve on their own (an extra $23.00) and we advised them no. We go to pick up our cat after the procedure and they go over the summary of costs. $315.00. They also used the dissolving stitches which we requested them not to. I live in Western Australia. If there was a choice for zero stars that is what I would give Yorkville Vet. I own a tri coloured show Shetland Sheepdog bitch Ava, for import to Australia that was placed under the care of a well respected "professional" show dog handler from 10 weeks of age. The handler then elected to use Yorkville Vet, a 60 mile round trip from her home as she told me they were proficient at export protocols. DO NOT COME HERE. At first I really liked Yorkville, the staff was friendly and smiley at the front desk and it seemed to be a good atmosphere. However, I truly believe Yorkville is out for your money. We brought our puppy to this hospital a couple of times and we have been royally ****** twice- both times leaving our poor baby at harm. The first time was at our first visit. We were told to get all of the necessary, precautionary medicine for her. This place where is the worst. Don't bring your pets here! They newer listens to you and try to charge for service you never asked for. After birding, we asked the employee to put our leash on our dog but she ignored it and put on their leash that made our dog to choke really bad. They charged for play time that we never requested. Just terrible service! Avoid this shit whole!
It took me over a year to write this review but first impressions can be deceiving...If I could give zero stars I would...I was referred to this vet after my 8 month old puppy kept having issues with breathing...dr long was his doctor and they had originally kept him for about two weeks and sent him home under the impression we finally fixed what was wrong with him however a few weeks later the breathing issues started happening again...they kept him for another almost 3 weeks (even though I didn't want to be away from him I... read more
If I could give this place zero stars I could. At first I thought the building was impressive and staff was friendly but once I was there with my dog and trying to get his ears checked the staff would not try to muzzle them himself because they were too scared so they left me in the room alone for 10-15 minutes by myself trying to get me to muzzle him. WE put our puppy in Yorkville Animal Hospital boarding for one week, on the morning of pick up the receptions told us he did get a bath. Our 12 pound puppy came back stinking as if he had rolled around in his own filth from the time we left him to the time we pick him up. So bad that while on conference call for work I had to give my dog a bath it just could not wait. To add insult to injury he had a tick. This place is horrible. My mom brought her 5 year old cat in to get groomed and received a phone call a few hours later saying, your cat died under the anesthesia. The cat had gone under before at another vet was fine. They said, oh it must have been because of an underlying health condition, I call BS!! They screwed up big time! Do not bring your pets here. Take them to the vet in Sugar Grove, they are wonderful!
Wow.. can NOT believe it... Because WE got poor service from this Vet.. and left a NEG Review on YELP.... They informed us that they NO longer want us as a Client any more... Wouldn't you think people should use the YELP reviews to BETTER their business.. I saw a ton of vets that actual responded back to people who gave NEG reviews and tried to make things right..
