This is far better than the large in line basket I use to ... This is far better than the large in line basket I use to have. My pool is not caged in so i get a above average amount of debris in it. If you see the catch is not spinning it is time to empty. Very easy to empty, clean and replace as it does not allow so much debris and the spinning motion lets you know you are good to go. The only minor issue is making sure to have it position properly so the bottom of the basket faces down.
Leaks, doesn't float right, and is turning yellow. Regrettable purchase. This is a regrettable purchase. After all of the great reviews, I was excited to get this, but after about two months of trying to use it, I gave up. Contrary to what the videos/instruction say, I cannot get it to float vertically in the pool. Either it wants to roll over on its side, or it hangs out on an angle. Epic Fail with low-power, low-speed pumps Another leaf trap that floats and sucks air - the seal on this is horrible. The first time I installed this, I found it floating full of air - luckily my system was pulling water elsewhere. This issue is solved with weights, lots of weights. However, the bigger problem is that this thing does not adequately seal at lower pump rates. The seal is very dependent on suction. It seems fine, However I bought it with the Zodiac MX6 ... It seems fine, However I bought it with the Zodiac MX6 which is in my opinion horrible for my pool.
