Save your money It was easy to install but would not keep a good seal when the pump turned off and would cause the pump to cavitate the next time would turn on

Save yourself the frustration. I gave one star because there is not a negative star option. I wasted 5 hours of my life trying to get this thing to work longer than 3 minuets. I ignored the negative reviews, if you're reading this PLEASE DON'T. I'm trying to save you time and frustration DO NOT purchase this item.

Not effective Loose fitting top allows air into the line. Doesn’t work correctly and removed from the equation. Wasted time and money.

Sucks in air seal fails Beware this leaf basket failed after 4 months of use, it never would sit straight because it would always suck air because the lid doesnt seal properly. It kept getting worse till my pump lost prime because the seal failed.

POOR QUALITY. Really poor product. The top lid never twist,-locked into place so it would not seal and cause a suction loss in my skimmer. Only upside was they accepted a return of the product with full refund.

Well, it works for a few months..... It was working for a few months like a champ and then the o-ring did not seal anymore the canister. I expect this after a couple of years but not months. Well, I got today a model from the competition for half the price....

Dissapointed, poor design...will not buy again I always wanted one of these, so was very disappointed when it didn't perform well in actual use. The Hayward W560 leaf canister is much better and cheaper! $30-$40. Tip on Hayward: move O-ring to top of canister for easier emptying. Cons of Zodiac: -Paid $50+ -Poor design -Leafs cling to basket and reduce water flow -Must clean often to keep suction to cleaner -Messy to empty and clean -Not worth the money -Can't go on longer vacations worrying it will clog Pros: -Cool spinning... read more

sucks up too much air This thing will flip sometimes and suck up tiny bits of air....so in order for it to work better I have to put it on the bottom part of the hose by the ground sweeper and put the pool filter setting on low.

Business response:

Hello Skk, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your cyclonic leaf catcher and we'd like to help! We suggest trying the following: 1. CLC500 needs to be installed one hose section past the skimmer or dedicated vacuum line. 2. Make sure the cleaner side is attached to the cleaner, and the pump side is plugged into your skimmer or dedicated vacuum line. 3. Make sure the canister is flooded when installed before turning the pump on If not, the canister will float, and the pump ... read more
