No suction. Worst buy ever Constantly stops moving. Doesn’t climbs walls. Terrible but. Better off spending a little bit more for a dolphin or Polaris.
Constantly gets stuck on basic features... useless This thing seems to clean okay when running, but in my rather simple pool design it got stuck 5 times in the first 3ish hours running. This is after I adjusted the flow exactly as described in the manual. Poor customer service Poor suction even on low medium and high settings. Customer service extremely late response not helpful. And due to the atmospheric river in California but the time I wanted to return it the window was closed.
Hoses will rot in 1 year. Prevalent problem with the twist lock hose. Hoses are very expensive. Once your Zodiac hoses split and they will within 2 years you are stuck. Buy very expensive replacement hoses or buy a new non-Zodiac pool cleaner. This hose situation is a total scam. AVOID BUYING ZODIAC PRODUCTS.
SAVE your $$$! I purchase this on May of 2021. It lasted 17 months. Each & EVERY hose cracked and tore to pieces. They are NOT compatible with other hose because they TWIST & LOCK into each other. Replacement is from $25 to $30 a piece! For an inground pool it takes many hoses. Ive had hose that lasted 8 to 12 years. Never had a problem loosing suction or cracking until I got. Does not work properly Be careful with this dinky little machine, it’s not powerful or heavy enough to maintain constant contact with the bottom of the pool surface. We’re working with a 1.5 hp motor with plenty of suction and previously had the mx-8 which worked great. Purchased the mx-6, installed it today and it barely works. Any time it moves to another area and has to drag the hoses behind it, it wheelies the whole way and doesn’t come back down until it starts spinning in circles. Clogs way too easy The product does a great job as long as you don't have a tree in the vacinity. Leaves have a tendency to get stuck in the impleller blades rendering it useless. To clear the jam you need to remove the unit and manually remove the debris, this has become pretty much a weekly event for me. If I had to do over again I would have spent the additional money and puchased a more robust device.
This pool cleaner vacuum machine is unsuitable for vacuuming medium to big size leaves. It is suitable for vacuuming small pieces and dust, but when vacuuming the leaf, it cannot vacuum 1 out of 3 and permanently stop moving. So you need to take it out from the pool, clean it, and return it again. Sometimes during the weekend, I have to repeat this several times, which is a significant disadvantage of this pool cleaner vacuum. I am still considering returning it, but I need more time to make my final decision.
The hoses are breaking down after like five months. The actual unit seems to be working fine, but it’s only been seven months. The hoses are breaking down one by one and have not had any luck getting replacements sent to me.
