I have nothing but good things to say about this company. They were always there, for me, when I had to request that they hold a month's payment, due to deaths in my family, and I had to travel, to attend funerals. They were kind, considerate, and very understanding about the whole process. I appreciate their manner of answering any questions I may have. My home is paid off, now, but I would definitely go back to 21st if I needed them.
Half a payment behind . Talked with a supervisor yesterday I offered a payment of the amount I always make every two weeks , the guys name was ******he told me that was "unacceptable and they would need 1500 by Thursday that I should be at a church or family members " . I said" the churches in my area are low income and so are my other family members they don't have funds to give me an additional 1 thousand dollars how about we skip the call and tell me what the next steps are now." Disturbing experience. I submitted an application & was approved at warp speed. The payments were to high for our budget, so I wanted to see if there was any way possible to work this out. Could the term be increased or possibly a lower interest rate? I also wanted the loan officer to know that I had paid down several accounts & that it would not be reflected on my credit report. Aggressive and rude employees with no respect or empathy for customers who may have had health problems and briefly couldn’t work and still made all payments even if late. I’ve even been yelled at and called a liar by a supervisor. This occurred 3 times while trying to make a payment, and I was forced to either argue back or just listen for several minutes. I literally can’t help getting sick and almost dying. Be prepared to be chewed out like a kid if your ever late paying like most Americans in these hard times!
Violation of Fair Debt Collection Practices act. When you are late with your payment and calling to make your payment whether you're 5 days late or 30 day late they will harass you to make your next payment and will spend 20 minutes arguing with you to schedule your next payment when you're still trying to make your current one. I’m literally watching my mom die, 21st mortgage has been calling me and I have not been returning there phone calls. I’m grieving my mom and she’s still here. I called 21st on 8/08/25, I spoke with a gentleman I told him I could pay July’s payment on Friday 08/08/25 and August’s payment on 08/22/25. This company *****I am disable and they is so very rude to me I’m dealing with depression and other sickness and they really making it very hard on me I am stressed out to the max! My payment is $500 monthly now they asking me for $568 a month like really I am trying and plus I have other bills to pay besides them I am trying so more can I do besides try to find a lawyer who can help and understand me better cause they have really been at me hard and very DISRESPECTFUL!!!

These people are unbelievable they are holding my insurance check for repairs and will not release it so I can get them done which has caused me to lose my insurance. You cant talk to anyone about it without going through so much ridiculousness and they are refusing to release the money. Makes no sense that they would hold the money to fix the property they are financing and the threats they make are crazy if you are even a day late they start threatening to take your home.
