My senior parents have a current mortgage with them, now going on 14 years. They had a death in the family and lost a social security check per month. Their ages are 79 and 82 years old. Most of the people are nice at customer service but this place is absolutely horrific they are into scamming the s*** out of people as much as they can never use them people my biggest mistake ever!!!!!
If I could leave less than 1 star I would. My payments were set to biweekly with no issue. I sent a written request to switch bank accounts which was not processed. The account 21st had on file returned the payment due to the account being closed. They never told me the payment wouldn't come out of my new account it just never came. There was no communication between Shane Hobby and I regarding this, even though he is my loan officer. Getting the mortgage went well enough but customer service, when there's an issue, is non-existent. I've been calling for over a week, to no avail. It's bad enough that I'll be changing companies asap. Second star only because the mortgage sent through fairly quickly. If based exclusively on after, one star would be optimistic.
I fell behind on my mortgage, I worked for a company for 2 weeks then they decided not to pay me those 2 weeks so wasted my time And fell behind, I called 21at told them what happened, telling me I still had to pay. Worst customer service ever. Very rude due to being past the grace period. I have never been 30+ days late on the loan. They were not only rude but threatening. Next step calling corporate.

This is unbelievable I went and got this Mortgage because I wanted to have extra money to do things with but a totally regret this its only $40,000 I had a claim which I paid out of pocket first because it was denied but needed this fix and now its been approved get a check in both 21st and my name and there telling me its a process I need to send all this BS to get my money. I wish to file a conduct complaint against 21st century mortgage in regards to poor customer interactions which includes bullying language and threatened me with or else statements as well as many rude representatives unwilling to make arrangements or hardship attempts in regards to three surgeries in the past two years.
