Horrible company to deal with. Customer service / “financial counselors” are bullies and talk down to you for no reason. Name calling and belittling remarks. If you’re a few days late they lock your access to be able to pay via the online website or by phone and force you to speak with them on the phone. Threaten to not let you pay so that they can foreclose and “put you on the street”. Pure harassment and bullying. This company is rude and condescending to their loan members. If you call to explain yourself and ask for an extension they will call and harass you every week. They feel it is okay to question you about things like when you'll get a tax return. They have no empathy and I regret ever doing business with them. I was forced to use them because that is who my mobile home commercial went through. 100%do not recommend.
I would give zero stars if I could. This company are a bunch of predators. First, they fought with the dealership over and over requesting a cost breakdown. Dealership claimed they sent it over and over. Well, because the dealership didn’t get the paperwork to 21st in time (which I’m skeptical of now considering another reviewer complaining of the same problem) 21st pinged our credit again making our down payment go from $20k to $47k as well as tanking our credit scores. I have never felt with a ruder or more aggressive mortgage company if you are 5 days behind the due date they will call twice a day and email. When you answer and tell them why you are late they give you the 3rd degree and are aggressive about it at the end of the day they could care less about the customer. We have had issues with 21st Mortgage since the beginning of our journey to buying a new home. We experienced a significant loss of income when my partner lost his job. We were able to keep up with everything until October and I called to see if anything could be done. I was told at that time that I could pay October’s installment after the 20th, and then she even said I could then pay November’s after the 20th as well to try to get caught up. THE worst mortgage company. I requested a payoff quote, paid it within the timeframe required (30 day). My financial counselor at the time (Audrey ********), called to let me know that because they didn't have to payment in their hands by that 30 day mark, I'll be charged a few hundred dollars of interest. 21st is inept at calculating financial documents - something they should excel in as a mortgage company. They have repeatedly asked for the same document over and over. The document in question has been uploaded by myself (the customer) and the retailer multiple times. When I call to discuss with 21st, the various helpers who answer the phone when Sarah ****** is unavailable assure they see the document and will advise Sarah.
