First and foremost, pricing. I didn't even know of 8x8 until i was skimming through an airline magazine while on a flight. Upon landing, i called and immediately terminated my previous service provider and changed over to 8x8. I was using vonage and unhappy with quality and service. We are a non-profit organization dependent entirely on donations. Before starting with 8x8 we used home phones and had calls coming in any time of the day or night. Now we have low cost phones, one number, and the ability to ring the phone in three houses at once. Now the phone rings only during business hours and voice mail can take all the calls. Some times we have to stop taking calls and simply define holidays and can shut off the phones for a week or more when needed.

I was with 8x8 for about 3 years, then they upped my bill 40 bucks for the same service. I called in and was told that they could not do anything about the rising bill. I switched to Ring Central got more features then 8x8 for a few dollars less then what I was paying before 8x8 raised my bill. Seems to me 8x8 only wants large business and does not care about the little guy.
I am a one man sales office. This system gives me all the freedom and capability I need to conduct business. With my headset, I can roam the office, or call forwarding, leave the office and still have access to calls coming in. Smartphone app lets me forward, or cancel forwarding where ever I am at. Faxes are automatically stored on the system also.
