Dear 8x8 I could not find where to write on your FB timeline so I'm doing it here. This concerns your 8x8 Customer Satisfaction Survey emails. Point blank: THEY ARE USELESS (EMPHASIS). Why don't you meet with some end-users and have an exchange of ideas. There is so much potential and room for new initiatives, but you have to listen to the end-user. Your customer service is really bad.
We use 8x8 at our office and are very happy with the service and phones. I am giving 8x8 2 stars because we've been having such a horrible time getting the replacement parts. One of our conference phones drops calls. After looking into it, the problem seems to be caused by a frayed Power Over Ethernet Cord. Our Account Manager sent us the incorrect parts twice. One of the phones we purchased one month ago is defective. But the technician blamed us for not using Verizon's router. Taking their advice to get a new router they recommended, but still not being to make it work. it has been almost two weeks. We purchased 6 extension with 3 Cisco phones, the other two phones works, testing the defective unit with same port and same cord that the working phone us. HORRIBLE! This company treated us horribly. The customer service was nasty to my team. You had to work with your sales associate, even though I did not work well with her, I was not allowed to switch. When I did open a new line with someone else she freaked out and called and emailed me. Then when we went to relocate our office they kept charging us. My small business, which now has about 20 phones, has been a 8x8 user for about 7 years and until recently the issues have been manageable. Recently we encountered severe compatibility problems with 8x8 phones and Comcast highspeed internet access. 8x8 is not compatible with the standard gateway cable modem typical installed by Comcast. 8x8 solution to this problem is to request Comcast to install a single port stand alone cable modem and then configure a stand alone router to sit behind the cable modem.
