As our phone system administrator I love to be able to change the system from anywhere I have Internet access. This makes the system so flexible. In the past, we've had to close our facility because of a power outage. I can quickly change our Automated attendant to redirect calls, change the greeting, and much more. It's so convenient.
8x8 gives our business the ability to work where and when we need to. With remote employees and a hovering office, 8x8 allows us to stay in contact with our customers and perform the services that keep business flowing.

We are a non-profit organization dependent entirely on donations. Before starting with 8x8 we used home phones and had calls coming in any time of the day or night. Now we have low cost phones, one number, and the ability to ring the phone in three houses at once. Now the phone rings only during business hours and voice mail can take all the calls. Some times we have to stop taking calls and simply define holidays and can shut off the phones for a week or more when needed.
I love 8x8! Unfortunately we had another one of the major competitors of virtual office phone service when we started our business. It was a nightmare. After our grand opening the service worked for three days. We weren't receiving any calls and the lines were all mixed up. They couldn't even call me so we had to talk via email. get voice messages in your email so when you are out you get them!!
It allows the multiple employees in my company to stay connected and quickly see information about candidates I'm contacting as well as prevent us from contacting the same people. I love that I can see if someone is on the phone so that I don't bother them.
We just recently began using 8x8 at the company I work for. I work remotely and prior to 8x8 did not know if I had voice messages unless I dialed in to check. The email notifications of voice messages provided by 8x8 saves me a significant amount of time and makes retrieving messages so much easier.
