I needed a storage unit for 5 months, and based on yelp reviews I decided to use A-1 Self Storage on Bascom. I am very happy with my experience. The office staff is very helpful/informative and the facility is very clean. I recently moved out my belongings from the storage unit and had no problems. I highly recommend this facility!

Let me start by saying I used to be a client of A1 on Bascom a couple years ago because they were conveniently placed in my neighborhood. I like most clients used they're wonderful facility temporarily. Just last week I was in a major bind and needed a fax machine since I don't have one. UPDATE: I've now had my storage unit for a little over 6 months.... no issues, but also no warning or pre-notice I would be receiving a $30 rate increase.... Not happy about this. *********************************** Original review: The facility is very clean, full of cameras. The gate is monitored as well as the entrance to the unit buildings. The buildings/hallways are well lit. I particularly like the type of locks used for each unit, very safe and "break-in proof".

Recently had to store my mother's things when she had to move out from her apartment. Read the reviews on Yelp and reserved a space. Because we were storing some furniture (a large couch, bed set, chairs), they recommended a slightly larger space...good thing! We would have never made it in the one I first chose. Recently moved and needed storage for my extra things. Read some reviews on yelp and decided to get buy my unit online. When we arrived, we were greeted by Louis and he already had our paperwork ready to go. He explained everything to us and walked us through the facility to our unit and showed us how to use everything. We called the storage place to reserve the storage. We got there late because of traffic, drove three hours. It was five on a Sunday and the manager Terry was getting ready to leave. She was so nice and helped us get a storage to fit our needs still. We got a lock , storage and boxes. The place was clean and new looking, prices were in line for the area. I read good reviews on line about this place so I came here. Thank You, Terry - for a great experience -

Their storage is fine, but they will spam you with a bunch of stupid emails if you give them your address.
Louis and Terri are the best!! Never thought I would enjoy my 'storage' experience. They were always kind and helpful. 5 Start customer service. 5 Star on security, safety and cleanliness. I couldn't have asked for a better place to store my stuff than with Louis and Terri and the rest of the team. Louis also made fresh coffee too, that helped make my storage organizing visit a pleasure. Terri had good candy too.
