We recently rented storage space from A-1 Storage. Karen helped us choose our space, explained the rules and even offered us candy! The facility is very clean and well maintained. We feel secure there. Karen was very helpful and courteous. I recommend A-1 Self Storage to anyone wanting to store stuff in a secure location.

Researched a few before I made the decision that this is the best facility in Mira Mesa. Clean, spacious and very easy to access. Karen, the manager and Evan were extremely helpful and informative in helping me decide which unit to rent. Pricing is competitive and month to month contract that allows changes is great.

We met with Jennifer initially and then Karen to wrap things up. Both of them were polite, professional, and efficient. They were a pleasure to work with. The office and grounds were clean and organized. When we completed the paperwork Karen toured us around and showed us exactly how the alarms, codes and lights worked. Great place and great people! Prices were also very competitive. We would definitely recommend A1 Storage. Thanks.

Personnel were Super! Needed storage for 2000 pounds of house stuff when we first moved here from Korea! Staff worked with us to get the right size unit and good pricing! Definitely recommend them in the future!

I had a tremendous experience with this location. The service provided by Karen & Jennifer was first class and units were very clean. I would use their service again in a second should the need arise!

The only reason this place has decent reviews is because the ladies at the front desk are so sweet and they ask you to write them a review right away (before you realize their treachery). It's a storage unit. There isn't a lot to rate a storage unit on. The front desk workers are very kind. We never had any security issues. The facility is very clean and conveniently located. We're sorry to hear you are leaving, Kimberly. Like most storage companies, we offer move-in specials on your first month, and therefore your rate is extremely discounted initially. We review those rates and sometimes make adjustments accordingly. This is done in order to keep up with the rising costs associated with providing top-notch service and a clean, secure facility.
I wasn't at this facility very long, and it was awhile ago, but I had to be firm about closing out my account. That left a bad taste in my mouth. I now know I wouldn't give them my business again since the proprietor was the single largest out of state donor to contribute to defeating same sex marriage in MAINE, of all places.
Reserved a unit through Yelp for 14 days in advanced because I wasn't sure when I would need the unit. I needed it a couple of days later so stopped by and Jennifer helped he get my unit set up. She was very friendly and even explained that I might be able to go with a smaller/cheaper unit based on my needs. I went with the bigger anyways. Great customer service and very clean units. P.S. They will prorate your fee if you leave earlier than when your payment is due so you never pay for days you don't use their storage.

I purchased a storage unit for my son. I found the stuff at A-1 Self Storage to be friendly, helpful and prompt staff. A much, much better experience than I had at the last storage facility.
