Beware of fees on top of fees. Have to have their lock-10, insurance required - 15, the quote that they were able to increase cause you didn't know there was lower quotes 8. Good hours and that is the extent Follow up to Corrinnas's reesppoonnssee, Yes transparent when it is one price when you call, the sales reps questioning who you spoke to and then waffling when asked for the lowest possible price. Clark, we strive to be very transparent about our costs and fees, and they are very standard within the storage industry. Most storage companies do require some kind of insurance, as do we. If you do not have current renter's or homeowner's insurance, we offer a customer protection plan for $12/mo. We also have individual door alarms at our facility, so we do require that you use a cylinder lock as part of the security system. Kayla helped me out today and was super helpful happy to be at her work . I had gone to the Alvarado Canyon location by the Grandville trolley station in San Diego and had multiple issues with their customer service they did not want to work with me when it came to change my move-in date or pricing or reimbursing my lock (which was only $10) they treated me as if they were annoyed and didn't want to be there . manager was very rude but when I came to the Kearny Mesa location my experience was 200 times better moved in with v... read more

I have been with A-1 Self Storage for 3 years. It has been, by far, the best experience I've ever had with a storage company. The overall facility is very clean as well as the individual units (I've seen several of the units and used two of them) It has secure access to the units with later operating hours for people with varying schedules like mine. This location is clean and convenient for me. The storage units are clean. The staff are friendly and approachable. They are open 7 days a week if you decide you need a unit the last minute. I will recommend to anyone.
