Signing up was great. Rachel was really patient and walked me through all the steps that were needed to sign-up.
I had my things here for near 3 years, and it was the best experience. The surrounding area does have some homelessness, and it is a bit remote, but it is one of the most secure sites I've seen. Cameras everywhere, and you need a code for everything, alarms Very clean, never had to deal with vermin or bugs problem, units are spacious, accessible, and secure. James and his staff are very professional and friendly. The building is extremely clean and well taken care of, and I had no issues in my 2 years as a client.
I was moving from a larger unit to a smaller one. James at A-1 storage followed up with my online request and verified with me that I wanted the transfer instead of two units, helped with the transfer, prorated my rent on the original unit and applied it to the rent for the smaller unit and transferred all of the required information as well as the insurance. This was a very smooth transaction for me! The facility is kept up well, clean and well-run that is why we continued to have our storage needs met here.
I recently received a rate increase of near 100% where I was storing my belongings, so I decided to shop units in the nearby area to find a better deal. I found A-1 - Santa Ana, which was conveniently located near downtown San Jose. James & Bailey assisted me on-site; Bailey was able to assess my storage needs pointing out ways I could reduce my costs by getting me appropriately sized to a unit, recommended their customer protection plan as a economical alternative to using my own insurance, and offered to put my rental on... read more
