The facility and staff at the Santa Ana location are top notch. My interaction was mainly with James and I found him to be accommodating, personable, understanding and proactive. The entire process from onboarding to exit was a positive experience.
Great storage, no hassle -- free lock as well. Recommended !!! Marco at the front desk was quick and had answers to all my questions.
We are about to get our second unit there, because the location is so convenient and prices reasonable. They have different promos for first time renters if you reserve online. We had to switch our last unit to a bigger size and the customer service of James and his team are awesome. Plus the units are really nice, secure air conditioned and pretty well lit. Overall very happy.
Since a lot of the reviews here have already covered first impressions and the initial check-in process (spoiler alert: it's 5 stars), I'll make sure to highlight the opposite end - checking out. My gf and I rented a storage unit here for the last 14 months and just recently moved out. Never used self-storage previously, never wanted to, but had to put furnishings in storage during the sale of our home. We found this self-storage gem called A-1 in San Jose, based on many great YELP reviews. The clean well maintained, brightly lit, climate controlled facility, secured with personal pin codes and a multitude of cameras was just what we wanted. Great experience here! Great service. Easy sign up. Cameras and code boxes everywhere, so it feels very secure. Very clean, great lighting, and lots of L carts. Make sure to check in on Yelp to get a free lock! Gate locks at 10pm. Thanks Jon at A1!

Not sure if my original review remains when doing a update, so a little of this maybe duplicated. My experience from signing up to filling my unit was a 5 star experience. The staff are key bs and helpful, the facility is sparkling clean, the hallways spacious. Thank you for the continued great experience.
