We booked them quite a ways out and spoke at length with their salesperson. I also spoke with their manager to work out some details since our complex was paying. I was told we were all set, we received multiple emails telling us how to pack and were told around two days before the move, they'd reach out and let us know arrival time. Worst moving experience ever. I was quoted $2500 for my move and was charged over $4000 when we arrived. I did not add anything to the move or change addresses from the origial quote. They packed my items and we still had several items damaged and one missing all together. These items where family heirlooms but still had actual monitary value of thousand of dollars to replace (If they could be found at all). Do NOT USE!!! We were quoted a $225 rate, but when they arrived, they changed the rate to $279 once our furniture was inside their moving truck. Were told because it was later in the day they sent five men instead of 3-4 and that increased the rate. Well, might as well send three because one was on the phone the entire time arguing with another customer. And the other was barely moving anything. DO NOT USE!! We were quoted a decent price on the phone ($388-$400). However, when we went to pay, our total came out to be $789 (including the $100 deposit). We had them move a dresser, two nightstands, a bed, and a couch. The move was a first floor unit to another first floor unit. It honestly felt like we got scammed. Don't quote so low if you're going to charge that much.

While the workers were nice and worked hard given the tools they had, the management has poor business practices. They quoted an hourly rate, but made sure that the move takes as long as possible. As the guy was disassembling my bed, I asked him why they didn't give him an electric drill. He said they did give him one but not a charger. One of the two guys it was his first day so they were going more slowly than normal, yet still charged me the same hourly rate. TERRIBLE service! This is my second time using AMS & the first time I was really impressed with them moving everything into storage. I just recently hired them again, & it was a complete nightmare. Although the men were friendly, they were taking personal calls while literally holding my stuff with one arm, dropped my furniture repeatedly, kept banging into the walls and then ultimately broke my entire bed frame. I didn't make it past the stage of receiving a quote. When I initially reached out to them, the customer service was amazing. However, when they reached back out they were rude when I told them there was anything I could do to earn their business. I was just being honest then was gaslit by them saying all moving companies charge this price and that I could get my own truck. First, you don't get to tell anyone how to spend their money. DO NOT USE THEM. Spent 45 minutes getting a quote from a rep. Booked, made $100 deposit. Never got confirmation email, called to follow up. Rude rep had wrong address, horrible attitude & made us go thru the entire quoting process again to get an "accurate" rate. Didn't own the previous experience anyway, just stated they dont know who or why that happened, but what they said was right. This was THE WORST experience moving we have ever had. They originally booked us for arrival between 11 - 3, but did not show up until 6 due to being overbooked. The workers were clearly tired, we felt extremely rushed to the point that we didn't even have them move all of our stuff and had to do it ourselves the next day.
