While the workers were nice and worked hard given the tools they had, the management has poor business practices. They quoted an hourly rate, but made sure that the move takes as long as possible. As the guy was disassembling my bed, I asked him why they didn't give him an electric drill. He said they did give him one but not a charger. TERRIBLE service! This is my second time using AMS & the first time I was really impressed with them moving everything into storage. I just recently hired them again, & it was a complete nightmare. Although the men were friendly, they were taking personal calls while literally holding my stuff with one arm, dropped my furniture repeatedly, kept banging into the walls and then ultimately broke my entire bed frame. I didn't make it past the stage of receiving a quote. When I initially reached out to them, the customer service was amazing. However, when they reached back out they were rude when I told them there was anything I could do to earn their business. I was just being honest then was gaslit by them saying all moving companies charge this price and that I could get my own truck. First, you don't get to tell anyone how to spend their money. DO NOT USE THEM. Spent 45 minutes getting a quote from a rep. Booked, made $100 deposit. Never got confirmation email, called to follow up. Rude rep had wrong address, horrible attitude & made us go thru the entire quoting process again to get an "accurate" rate. Didn't own the previous experience anyway, just stated they dont know who or why that happened, but what they said was right. This was THE WORST experience moving we have ever had. They originally booked us for arrival between 11 - 3, but did not show up until 6 due to being overbooked. The workers were clearly tired, we felt extremely rushed to the point that we didn't even have them move all of our stuff and had to do it ourselves the next day. As I went to get my things from storage several months later, I noticed the hidden damage these movers caused. ALL of my furniture was scratched, dented or damaged. They used shrink wrap to "protect" it all except it just masked the damage. They laid a mattress and boxes against several paintings, stretching the canvas the shape of the object. This is a con job and a rip off, they will quote you one price to do the work, then double it by the time the job is done with all the hidden fees. Five dolors per roll of tape, blanket rental fee to cover your goods, and it goes on an on. They were to move a total of seven items, seven. I wish I had read all the reviews. Unfortuntely the friends that were supposed to help me move bailed last minute, giving me one day to find movers. Many were booked but I called around and they were available. Im working with a budget so I asked many questions about the budget and quote (moving one bedroom to one bedroom) . No star!!! Do not use this company. Does not back up what it says. Overpriced! Broke items. Talked rudely to my daughter where they were unloading. Left their garbage on floor where they picked up load. I'm telling you do not let Shawn talk you into it. Very unprofessional owner Brian. He tried to call me and I couldn't answer and he didn't hang up on voicemail until I heard him say " that's just great. Zero stars.
