Good things first: The estimate was well-conducted and accurate. Both of these are obviously important and require no further explanation. They were not the cheapest quote I got, but I was assured that I was paying for peace of mind. They also said that they offered additional insurance for further peace of mind, which we both agreed upon in the deal. DO NOT HIRE AMS! my wife and I were going to move ourselves but decided that we had some pretty expensive items we were concerned about moving so we decided to hire a "professional" mover to be safe. We took AMS quote even though it was a little high we decided it was the safest way to get our stuff packed up. Everything seemed to be going smooth but when we unpackaged our 1 year old 82" flat screen tv we found the bottom smashed and the Tv does not work. this company is a SHAM! DO NOT USE! They have no communication with you after the initial sale - and not to mention they do not quote correctly. I was told the "call center" does not go over ALL the pricing All my Sons is to do that when they call to confirm....well I NEVER got a confirmation call. On the day of the move, I had to reach out 4 times to find out where they were and was pushed around all day. DO NOT USE DO NOT USE DO NOT USE

If you hire this company to move you don't say you weren't warned. They may be ok if they move you across town but not an out of town move. They will lie to you before, during and after the move. You will be told that the actual movers are company employees and hand picked for your move...what a joke! Our movers consisted of the driver(headman), a pregnant lady, a young man who was dressed to go play basketball and a forth person who was on his cellphone most of the time. I can't really review their quality of work because I canceled the move after waiting for over 4 hours. I was initially told that there was a move in the morning and then they would be over so that sounded like around noon to me. At 4 when I had not heard from them I called and canceled. I didn't want a tired crew coming in and out of my house all night in 20 degree temperature after wasting a beautiful sunny day.

I should have checked Yelp before I hired them. Everything sounded great on the phone. Initially I wanted an evening time because I needed to work that day. I was told, nope, 6pm too late for us and specifically told 1pm (it was an actual conversation... I'd initially put 2pm on my calendar and they dispatcher said, No, I have you down for 1pm). Because my things were in storage for a month, I honestly don't know who stole and broke my things. My entertainment center was missing two of the legs that WERE on the bottom. A lamp is missing. I am missing a Ziploc bag full of ink cartridges. They refused to put a table back together. I had to put it back together myself. I had to get a neighbor to help me put the bed back together. We used this company because the website looked professional and appeared to me as faith-based. We wanted someone to do some packing of our big stuff and put everything we packed and what they packed into UHauls for us. The estimator was friendly and professional. The packers were nice and did their best to get everything on the trucks. That said, the estimate was $2000 below actual...a big surprise, to say the least. One star is too many for this company. I hired this company to pack up half of my home, and the results were disastrous. My husband's elk skull was put in a box that was too small, so they punched holes in another box and stuck the antlers through. The antlers were sticking out of the box! Instead of packing some things in boxes, they merely wrapped open totes with shrink wrap. When they unloaded the boxes, they stacked larger boxes on top of smaller boxes, which of course isn't how you stack boxes.
