How do companies like this one stay in business? Answer: Because of idiots like me. By the time you realize you have been swindled and lied to, there is not a thing you can do about it. They talk such a sweet game up until moving day. This was the worst experience I have ever had. I have moved several times over the last 4 years and have never been so taken advantage of or treated so poorly. What should have been a 2 or 3 hour move took their guys almost 5. There were 3 of them that showed up, but only 2 of them lifted and actually moved my things. They took SO many breaks to check their phones and smoke - it was ridiculous. They moved insanely slow so my dad and I started to move my stuff out on our own (since they charge by the hour). The move was reasonable in itself but the pricing was very complex and a detailed accounting/invoice was not forth coming plus damage to my yard was not made right. My primary concern is not being provided the information by All My Sons to verify the final billing.
They worked hard and moved fast. Had to wrap some glass shelves in a few blankets and wrap it with tape and charged $60 extra (yes only 1 -2 things) Watch out for these outrageous extra charges!
Lied about price! Came with a attitude! Stayed on the phone talking the entire time! Loaded 5 items then said they couldn't do it and but they would haul 4 items to new location for $400.00! They unloaded it all leaving washer, dryer & dishwasher in the yard! Not a classy bunch here!!! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!
I should have known, the week when I actually booked this move with the company that I was going to have problems when I asked questions about the prices. I specifically even said that if it was going to cost me more than $300 that I would not book the services with this company. I even have an email that states there would be no flat fee, just an hourly rate charge and a 12% fee for gas and travel. Thus company is a joke they did not even bother to show up to move me. Had all my stuff packed and their excuse was they did not have a driver I guess the owners of this company don't want to work they just want to run a company but if you don't show up to do the job promised there will be no company. NO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
RIP OFF ALERT!!!! Do not use this moving company unless you want to be ripped off. We moved from a 3 bedroom ranch style house 1200 sf into another house very similar and were told to expect an average of 4 hours of moving time for our size home and one hour of "commute time" at $119 an hour. What they didn't mention is that they would wrap all of our furniture at $5 per roll. They (2 guys) showed up on time, but were glacially slow--theatrically and deliberately (they bill by the hour). They refused to lift anything, but rather insisted upon putting even lightweight furniture items (e.g. an Ikea plywood bookshelf) onto a dolly (taping takes a long time, too, apparently) and bumping each piece individually down the stairs.
